Who am I?

I'M A MOTHER. FORMER CORPORATE CLIMBER. QUALIFIED NUTRITIONIST.

I’m the first to admit postnatal depletion and burnout sucks. In my years of working, I learnt that when you don’t make time to rest, your body decides when to rest for you — usually at a pretty inconvenient time. Safe to say, I fell off that ladder fast.

My Journey

I was working 16 hours a day, struggling to fall asleep, and developing a pretty toxic relationship (with my inbox). It didn’t just impact me mentally, but physically too — blood tests don’t lie.

The tests I did with Dr Oscar Serrallach, a pioneer for integrative treatment of depletion, reflected depletion in key vitamins and minerals, which results in digestion challenges, low mood & anxiety, lack of sleep, skin breakouts, and the list goes on.

I wasn’t able to relax (even mid-bubble bath), because I was in a constant state of stress. Fight or flight? My body chose both. 

Under Dr Oscar’s guidance, I finally took time off to recover, which allowed me the space to dream of a better mental and physical state.
And you know when I realised I feel my best?

When I’m on vacation. And I know I’m not the only one.

Vacations are transformative: a weekend off the grid; a week on a beach with a book; a month eating seafood in the South of France. We tap into our most authentic selves when we’re away from the daily grind, and we return feeling refreshed, renewed, and ready for whatever life throws at us. 

This led me to wanting to create a holistic & science-based solution where everyday felt like a vacation.
Because when we feel good, it has a ripple effect on everyone around us. 

Why are we called The Tenth?

Because of something that’s inside all of us: the Vagus nerve.

Part of the parasympathetic nervous system, the Vagus nerve is the 10th cranial nerve and is responsible for our relaxation response. 

The Vagus nerve regulates everything from craniums to scrotums. Think of it as a train, where every organ it communicates with is a train station — our supplements are helping drive the train. As the vagus nerve travels, it needs each organ to be functioning at its most optimal level, in order for it to continue its journey — and oscillate. If an organ isn’t functioning properly, the nerve will become stuck and rigid. That’s when a host of stress symptoms appear, including bloating, fatigue, insomnia, headaches, inflammation, issues with immunity and reproduction, and the list goes on.

Our purposefully curated remedies help support each of your key organs, and as a result, help the Vagus nerve remain flexible, keeping it oscillating between organs. Having a flexible and oscillating Vagus nerve results in long-term improvements in rest, digestion, mood, anxiety, and general well-being, in essence our ability to being able to relax. Which ultimately results in us feeling flexible in our daily life too, oscillating between all the stops: work, home, and everything in between.

I believe that’s what makes up life. But sometimes when life falls out of balance; we fall out of balance, too.
