The Ordinary earns strong reviews for being effective and ingredient-focused: many users report clearer, smoother, more hydrated skin from staples like Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%, Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5, Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution, and the AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution. Reviews also flag weaknesses: some formulas feel sticky or pill, certain actives (retinoids, vitamin C, high-percentage acids) can irritate or be too harsh, results can be hit-or-miss by product or skin type, and the range can be confusing without research.

I’ve been using The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid for weeks, and it’s become a staple in my routine. It’s lightweight, absorbs fast, and keeps my skin feeling hydrated all day. My makeup sits better, too! The only thing I’d improve is the packaging—it can be tricky to get the last few drops out. Still, amazing value for such effective skincare!

I love these products because they are not too harsh on my skin and they are really pinpointed on the needs of my skin. I use the red peel most often and I am starting to use the Niacinimide on my son’s face for his acne. I am noticing a big change in his skin.

Not entirely beginner friendly! The products might be marketed with a nice simple approach but I think consumers still need to research active ingredients before using!

My daughter struggled with very bad acne and someone encouraged us to try ordinary- fast forward a few weeks and her acne is ALL GONE! I had paid hundreds to try to treat it, only for it to be bested by a small jar of serum!!

Every product I've tried from The Original is simply fantastic quality for a reasonable price. A tiny bit of research into ingredient power houses can save a heap of money in one's beauty cabinet. Just saying. The Ordinary is by no means any everyday humdrum company. Check them out!

It's nice product just not working well with reducing my acne and dry skin issue. However, I like the smell of it and the texture. It's very nice and light

I used niacinimide serum from this brand. which was very thick in consistency. I applied it in my nit time skin care routine followed with a moisturiser and it gave amazing results. it reduced texture and whiteheads on my nose.

I’ve been using this product for about three months. It definitely worked to help clear my skin of acne now I’m currently working on scar removal. I would recommend this product 100% is very affordable and easy to use.

I’ve tried a few different products and everything I’ve tried is pretty great! The products are pretty affordable and the skincare doesn’t leave you feeling gross after! The caffeine products are my absolute favorite. Really help wake me up in the morning

Want to try more
I already have some of the ordinary products like the peeling some serums and glycolic acid and I'd like to try so much more.

Gosh, I love this brand. The Ordinary Niacinamide and Zinc is my holy grail, if I go a day without it I will start breaking out. As a skincare geek, I appreciate the focus on pure ingredients and simplicity for such an affordable price. The lash and brow serum also helped me regrow eyelashes I accidentally pulled out with an eyelash curler. I've also tried their hyaluronic acid serum, glycolic acid, moisturizer, and more, and they have all been great. Admittedly, the application and feel of the products is not as luxury as some other brands, but for this price there is no reason to complain. If you haven't yet, I definitely recommend giving The Ordinary products a try, they have something for everyone!

Great ingredients at a great price, however you really have to know what you’re looking for and how to use it to know what to buy. As each product is a single ingredient too, you can end up with 5 products instead of one combined product containing multiple active ingredients.

I loved the hyaluronic acid hydrating serum. It helped rejuvenate my dry skin and make it soft and plump. It is my all time favourite product from The Ordinary. I also loved the glycolic acid. I used it on my armpits to lighten the pigment and reduce sweating and odour. I also used it on my heels to exfoliate and moisturize.

I have tried numerous products from this brand, the price point is accessible to everyone and they got me started building my base of skincare ingredient knowledge. Not to mention the effectiveness. It’s simple but the lactic acid resurfaced my skin and at a fraction of the cost of other brands.

Skincare can often be very intimidating when you start to think about what ingredients and products your skin might need, so I really appreciate the simplicity that The Ordinary offers. It never feels complicated and extremely clear about which product tackles which issue. I would always recommend starting with The Ordinary as the price point is great and I tend to get great results with most of their procuts.

Their red AHA BHA solution is great. I use it on my face every once in a while and it helps keep my skin feeling fresh and smooth. I've also used it on parts of my legs where I get small bumps (I've self diagnosed as keratosis Pilaris) and it works so well!!

Have used the glycolic acid paired with their hyaluronic acid after gushing to combat razor bumps. My skin is very sensitive and this helps, but does not stop it completely.

I use the Ordinary daily and have been for years. As someone with hyper-sensitive skin, I am always nervous to try new products, but I have never not loved an Ordinary product. I regularly use the 100% Plant Derived Squalene, Caffeine Eye De-puffer, and Niacinimide and Zinc. They are gentle on my skin, don't cause breakouts, and are incredibly affordable which is the best part!
