Reviews mention

  • Velvety, invisible finish
  • Makeup-friendly primer texture
  • Inclusive, no white cast
  • Lightweight, elegant formulas
  • Occasional oily residue
  • Chemical scent or eye sting
  • Tinted shade range limitations
  • Packaging clogs or separation

Supergoop! earns largely positive reviews for wearable, no–white-cast SPF formulas that double as makeup primers—Unseen Sunscreen and Glow Screen frequently impress for smooth, lightweight application and everyday protection—yet some reviewers report greasiness, pilling, breakouts, or separation and question efficacy versus cheaper dupes. Reviews highlight inclusive, matte-to-glowy finishes, easy reapplication formats (sprays, sticks, powders), and family-friendly PLAY, while noting product-inherent drawbacks like oily feel, chemical scent or eye sting, heavy shine from Glow products, limited shade range in tints, and occasional packaging clogs or leaks.

  • LOVE the big size sport one, and all of the face ones. Haven’t tried their more specific products (eye cream, eyeshadow, hand cream) but at this point I feel like they can’t go wrong.

  • Unseen Sunscreen is handsdown my favourite sunscreen. As someone who despises sticky or runny sunscreens, this lightweight gem that goes on matte and feels more like a balm has become my go-to. It feels like I'm wearing nothing at all while offering top-notch sun protection. Just wish it was available in Australia.

  • I typically do not like a lot of trendy makeup items, but this I LOVE! I am referring to the "glow screen" by Supergoop! It adds such a nice glow to it. I got a very mini size in a set & just bought the full size. Plus, it has SPF in it, so it's not just you looking pretty, it actually helps your skin. I also believe I received their resetting mist & I liked that too!

  • One of my favorite sunscreens. Despite the price point, Supergoop has a smooth, velvety formula that sometimes works as a foundation primer. The fragrance is light, texture is nice, and works perfectly under the sun.

  • Honestly overhyped. I bought their sunscreens cause people were raving but I find the product itself becoming unusable in just a few months? My screen screens all turned hard and solid not able to use or dispense.

  • I love unseen suncreen! It leaves me matte and not blurry I love it!

  • Goes on very smooth. It’s a bit expensive, but overall it’s a great sunscreen

  • I use the Supergoop! PLAY lotion every single day as the base of my makeup routine. This sunscreen doesn't break me out and isn't difficult to rub into your skin. It gives me a really pretty glow when I'm just wearing this with concealer, and it has a scent that I like (it does smell a little sunscreeny but I don't hate the smell). I have combination skin, though it's definitely more on the drier side, so my friends with oily skin should try this themselves and see if it's a good fit before buying the big tub like I did! It is on the pricier side for sunscreens but I think that the quality is great for what you are paying for!

  • This brand is full of great sunscreen. It's a little pricey but eligible for fsa/hsa reimbursement. I recently purchased a the Tinted one with Retinol alternative. The tint is very light, you can wear this under makeup or on its own.

    Experience
  • I've tried a few Supergoop products and I have mixed feelings about them. Glow Screen rubbed in easily, but it was veryyyy glow-y (Which is in the product name, but I wanted a slight glow. Instead I ended up with a product that required me to top it off with a loose powder to help cut down on the shine.) I love how easy the Glow Stick is to carry around, especially for beach days, but man does it make me look oily as heck. I can't use it on my face, so I save it for my hair part, chest, and hands. I also got the jumbo Play sunscreen. It's really nice for convenience because of the pump, but I hate the smell.

If you have the money, definitely try this brand. You might really like their formulas and they have tons of innovative ways to apply sunscreen. If it feels a little out of your budget, maybe try a different brand.

  • Supergoop sunscreen is my absolute favourite! I love their unseen sunscreen for under my makeup, and the tinted sunscreen on days where I just want a little bit of a glow without a full face of makeup on!

  • The sunscreen makes me break out every. damn. time. and feels greasy on the skin. I know people love it, but it just doesn’t work for me, unfortunately.

  • Since this works as such a good makeup primer, I’m more motivated to never forget my sunscreen. Light texture, easy to layer.

  • Loveeee the unseen sunscreen - a staple part of my skin/make up routine that leaves my skin oil free and works as a decent primer for concealer. I typically use dr jart’s cicapair color correcting serum or balm on top since I don’t love foundation. But leaves a great finish on the skin, and no pilling!

  • I used the Unseen Sunscreen as my primary face sunscreen for like... 2 years. I was obsessed with the formula. However, it was way too expensive for the amount of product. I feel like the quality, itself, is very high... but not *really* worth the price (since we're talking sunscreen, here). I have also used their lip balm, reapplication spray, and the Hydro serum oil (I am not sure what it is called). Overall, the unseen was the best product. HOWEVER, after wearing masks for covid, the formula left a burn/rash on my face due to how sensitive I was. I completely stopped using it after that.
