Reviews mention

  • Lightweight, invisible application
  • Makeup-friendly primer texture
  • No white cast versatility
  • Innovative, varied formats
  • Occasional oily residue feel
  • Inconsistent formula stability
  • Potential eye sting sensation
  • Silicone-heavy primer texture

Supergoop! earns largely positive reviews for face and body SPF that feels lightweight, leaves no white cast, and layers well under makeup—standouts include Unseen Sunscreen, Glow Screen, PLAY lotion, and Glow Stick. Reviews also flag drawbacks: some formulas feel oily or silicone-heavy, can pill or sting eyes, trigger breakouts, separate in the tube, have unpleasant taste/scent (lip products), and several users question ingredient choices and overall efficacy; many find it pricey.

  • I have used both the Unseen 40 spf and Glowscreen 40 spf and I love both. Unseen is exactly what you would think - great for an unseen finish and look. The same with Glowscreen - it has a beautiful glowy finish which goes great under makeup as a sort of base/primer.

Sunscreen is just naturally a bit oily and this brand does a great job of reducing that but any further innovation in this area would be exciting!

  • Unseen sunscreen is a game-changing product that has become a part of my daily routine and my wife's as well!

  • I've enjoyed 2 out of 3 of the sunscreens I've gotten from this brand. The GlowScreen is a straight up no for me. The unseen one layers well with moisturizer and foundation and the everyday one is great for everyday. Doesn't sting my eyes or pill when layered.

  • One of my favorite sunscreen brands!

The sunscreen can be a little less greasy but other than that it is great!

  • Best sunblock on the market hands down! No oily feel or sunblock smell!!

    Feedback

Nothing - PERFECT! Wish it was lower priced but also get that it's quality and it's still worth it!

  • the only sunscreen that doesn't make my face feel oily and doesn't make my face break out

  • If you’ve been debating it… just get it. I love the Unseen Sunscreen one because I can use as a primer before my makeup. Now that it’s warmer weather and we love a glow, I’d probably get the glow. But if you have oily skin get the unscreen it’s amazing. Would love to try more things from this brand next!

None I’m happy with the product!

  • They have great customer service and a super wide range of spf products which is nice, but from my experience almost none of their products are super friendly for sensitive skin unfortunately.

I think they should try some new skin-for-all formulas, but I can see how that would be difficult. I will say that I think some of their prices are a bit high, especially considering that there are better products for less than half these prices.

  • Testing Supergoop has been the highlight of my Spring. I’ve become an avid user of the Vitamin C + SPF daily dose, the Resetting powder, and the Unseen Sunscreen.

    Feedback

Using a pink/beige tone as the standard/overarching shade for the Glow Screen is not only ill-advised, but also creates a color and texture that feel by far the oiliest, and furthest from the “clean sunscreen” health halo the other products fall within.

  • I am such a fan of supergoop products: the glow screen, body lotion, and spray sunscreen are in my daily routine always.

    Feedback

Some of their other products are a little meh. I didn’t love the unseen sunscreen (controversial ik) and the glow stick, glow body, glow oil were all ok. Not a fan.

  • The unseen sunscreen is seriously a game changer. It feels great and you can’t see it AT ALL. I am so much more likely to wear sunscreen now

    Feedback

    I’d take bigger sizes!

  • The only sunscreen i've used that doesn't leave a white streak on my face or feel too heavy/oily. I also love how clean the ingredients are.

  • I've only tried Glow Screen and I really liked it!

  • I love the Supergoop unseen sunscreen. It is so lightweight and leave my skin feeling clean.

I would love to buy this in a tub.

  • Overall I have loved all products that I’ve tried (Unseen, Glowscreen, and CC Cream). I think they describe/sell their formulas well and truthfully. I wish it was more affordable but that’s my only gripe with the company so far. They confirmed they don’t test on animals and that their ingredients are sourced ethically, including mica which has ties to child labour. I use the Unseen EVERY day, I’m on my third tube now. It’s the same consistency as a silicone-y makeup primer so you can wear it alone or under makeup. Has never made me break out and is great to wear over my existing moisturizer because it doesn’t add extra moisture- since I’m someone that’s on the oilier side that’s exactly what I’m looking for. Glowscreen is great for people wanting more of a dewy look but since I’m more oily I can’t wear this on it’s own without looking shiny and greasy. That said, my friend with dry skin loves it and it works GREAT under my makeup. It brightens up my final look and adds much needed sun protection. With this and the Unseen I find that I don’t need to wait for the sunscreen to sink in before applying makeup like I typically would with a cream/lotion SPF. The CC Cream has been good to me during cold Boston winters but I probably wouldn’t buy it again because it left me feeling a bit shiny. Might be great for people with dry skin. That said it wasn’t bad (I still will finish the tube) it’s just not as versatile as I’d like it to be.

These products are expensive which makes them out of reach for many customers. I have found (like many others) that it’s REALLY hard to find a good, affordable, drugstore sunscreen for everyday use, so SPF is something I do splurge on since it’s so important. If they could make their prices a little more competitive with the drugstore products I think Supergoop would be a 6 star brand for me, especially since they are pretty easy to find in stores and online.

  • I really love their sunscreen - it's silicon-y so it doesn't feel heavy or leave a white cast, which is really important for me as a woman of color.

  • After trying a tonne of suncreams, this is by far my favourite. I use the Play for the body and the glow screen for my face. I am brown so most suncreams leave streak marks on my face — this blends as it should.

Shipping options that aren't third party would be great.

  • I love the spf play range so much, smells great and feels smooth on my skin!

would love a refillable option to reduce waste!

  • Love this brand! Its adult and kid friendly. Highly recommend it!
