Reviews mention

  • Playful, confidence-boosting branding
  • Clever, mirrored refillable compact
  • Cute, expressive patch designs
  • Gentle, non-irritating hydrocolloid
  • Inconsistent, weak patch adhesion
  • Limited extraction effectiveness
  • Small, one-size star patches
  • Awkward, curling star points

Starface wins praise in reviews for playful branding, a handy refillable compact, and making acne feel celebratory, yet its classic Hydro-Stars often underperform versus competitors at extracting “gunk,” reducing inflammation, or staying put—especially overnight. While some users see quick results (notably with Micro-Cloud or blue salicylic acid stars), many cite weak adhesion, small one-size patches, and limited efficacy on early or cystic blemishes, making the brand better for pick-prevention and daytime cover than potent treatment.

  • 5/5 Pimple patches: love these. Adorable and seem to be really effective in reducing my pimples (or at least making them easier to pop lol). I have zero self-consciousness about wearing them out in public bc I mean, who wouldn't want to be sporting stars on their face? 4/5 Moisturizer: The moisturizer was fine, nothing fancy. It is unscented and quite lightweight. I do wish that the packaging was different though. I do my best to use up as much product as possible (to alleviate my own conscience), but the pump design meant that the top could not be unscrewed and I had to discard it with the painful knowledge that there was probably several days' worth of moisturizer still left inside 3.5/5 Face wash: It was a little too foamy for me, and felt like it was stripping my skin of moisture. I prefer a more gentle face wash that doesn't lather as much

  • These are great. Work as advertised, don't have those spiky things that other patches do that poke you.
