Everytime I order from splendid spoon I'm a bit overwhelmed by the amount of plastic it comes in - every smoothie bottle + every bowl container not to mention all the cooling material in the box but that's just the nature of delivered meals I guess. In an effort to be more sustainable maybe the bowls are also pretty flimsy - so you have to be SO careful lifting them in and out of the microwave, especially when hot. 

I think their meals + smoothies have some delicious plant based options! I like getting a week from them every once in a while as a nice reset. The meals can be a bit light so be wary that they might not be super filling on their own. Its very convenient that everything is microwave ready within a few minutes. 

I decided to try their smoothies because their ingredients are healthy and they have vegan options.  I ordered a la carte and did not sign up for a subscription plan and I liked having this option so I could see for myself how the shipping process went and if I liked the smoothies.  My order came quickly and in great shape and the smoothies are really delicious.  Each container is two servings which gave me quite a bit of smoothies.  Definitely I'm going to order again and I would have no hesitation signing up for a subscription plan.
