I have gone with speedball a lot for my art products. They have an awesome carving kit. Affordable and it lasts a long time. High quality and lots of different options to add to be precise on your cutting style.

I love several of their products for printmaking. I have used the Speedball Red Baron in addition to the Speedball Linoleum Cutter. The Baron is a baron and it works great. I feel like it is hard to go wrong with a baron as pretty much anything can be used. The carvers works great and is great value for the money. Are there "higher end" ones out there? Yes, but this one is a good price, lasts well, and gets the job done. Great for beginners and intermediates alike.
As a lettetpress artist, screenprinter, and recent lino adaptee, speedball has been so essential to my art of late. They make kits that make new media so approachable because they come with all the parts you need and clear instructions on how to move forward, and I always know im getting really high quality stuff. I love carving speedycarve, using their screenprint emulsion, and more. There are other good tools out there for less money but speedball is so reliable as a standard and especially if you're new id recommend starting with them and letting their materials give you a good base level of knowledge before branching out
