SOMOS was founded by a group of three friends who grew up in Mexico eating chilaquiles, cooking tacos, and loving their moms’ home cooking. When we came to the United States, we enjoyed meeting up with friends at great Mexican restaurants, but we were disappointed with the options available for creating truly delicious Mexican meals at home. Together, we combined our Mexican heritage and our years of experience in the food community to create ready-to-eat foods that honor Mexico’s rich culinary traditions.

I made beef and black bean enchiladas with the red enchilada sauce. It was absolutely delicious with just the right amount of spice. I'm looking forward to trying the other sauces.

Somos Mexican Street Corn Rice is a game-changer! It's plant-based, gluten-free, and non-GMO, making it a perfect choice for health-conscious eaters. Just microwave it for 90 seconds for a quick and flavorful meal or side dish that captures the authentic taste of Mexican street food.

I liked this product.  The packet was enough for me twice.  It’s very convenient that you don’t need to cook for a long time.  I heated it in a frying pan, adding a little water. This is very helpful when you are short on time.  I was afraid it would be too spicy, but nothing like that.  The composition is good, but I would replace sunflower and safflower oil with olive or avocado oil. 

I tried the Green Enchilada Sauce and the Mexican Brown Rice. I made enchiladas, following a recipe from the website. At the end of the day, I couldn't taste the enchilada sauce, and it wasn't flavorful enough for me. The Mexican Brown Rice was not really great, that was more difficult to finish. My bet is that the white rice would be a lot more flavorful! 

I would try some of their sauces again, but not sure about the microwaveable rice (to be fair, I haven't yet found one that's super stellar from any brand!). 

It’s easy and delicious! I tried a black beans one and it tastes pretty good. It adds protein to your meal in few minutes. Highly recommend it.

Delicious simmer sauce! Great for cooking and fun to create new tastes from my favorite dishes! Comes in clutch when I need to spice up my food. I can’t wait to try the other sauce flavors! 

This was just ok- I think of a few other options I would select first. The seasoning didn’t hit right for me? 

Used the green enchilada sauce and chipotle white rice tonight for an easy family dinner. Boy was it tasty! No leftovers here which makes for an easier cleanup. Cant wait to try more somos products in the future

I bought the rice and beans to add to our burritos, the beans were great but not very easy to get out of the package. The brown rice was really good and the kids had no idea is was brown rice. Healthy alternative to regular rice 

I purchased the substantial salsa verde burrito bowl kit.  A nice vegan meal option with cilantro-flavored rice & a plant-based protein.  
Note: steer clear if HBP is an issue.  A lower-sodium version would be appreciated.

Love love love love love the ease of these! Great to have in the pantry for a quickly prepared dinner.  Flavor payoff is great. I wish these were available more places.

It's complete different feeling from other similar products I tried so far but not great. Overall ok. May be need to check if any diff flavours available

I generally thought there products are quite tasty, yet a little steep in cost.  I had a BOGO offer, but I think I might buy them even without it.

Pretty good but not great. I'd say they were tasty and a quick and easy meal but weren't anything special. I'd recommend trying for yourself though, as the ingredients are good. 

I love this as a quick easy dinner option. I can use this to add a side to a nice chicken meal without waiting 30 mins for rice to cook when we are in a rush or hungry and don’t want to wait. 

Loved these! Spicy and flavorful! I added a jar with beans and veggies and cooked together and it made a really easy flavorful dish. Highly recommend!

Delicious. The rice is quick and easy to heat up on the pan. The flavor profile is good. I tried multiple of their rices, and they're so good.
