I like Somos for their Mexican-inspired foods. I appreciate their microwaveable rice packages that offer a quick and simple solution to rice needs while including great Mexican flavorings. The cilantro lime flavor is my favorite, as it is not overpowering in flavor.

I love their premade rice and bean pouches. The best taste and texture in convenient little packets. No weird plastic taste or hard kernels of rice. My favorite is the cilantro lime rice, for my homemade chipotle bowls.

I’ve been curious about the brand but didn’t have a reason to try it until the thingtesting offer. Both products were decent. Maybe I’ll try their Salsa Macha at some point.

While I wouldn't say I was blown away by either of the two flavors I tried, SOMOS rice pouches are certainly tasty. The Mexican Street Corn White Rice had a hint of sweetness and a very mild zing, whereas the Poblano Brown Rice w/ Spinach and Jalapeños had, as the peppers might signal, a bit more heat (though it was by no means overpowering). In a head-to-head taste test, I preferred the natural sugariness and slight creaminess of the Mexican street corn, while my wife liked the authentic taste of the poblano brown rice. All in all, I'd say they were a win-win and, while I probably won't be buying them regularly (rice is easy enough to make), are good alternatives for anyone in a time pinch (they are ready to serve after being microwaved for a minute and a half).

This brand caught my eye for its bold and authentic look. I tried the 90 second microwaveable Mexican Brown Rice with peppers and onions in red salsa. It came our with a good texture, and the added ingredients made it taste like it was straight from a restaurant.

I felt like the Mexican corn rice was better than expected. It was flavorful. The packaging was noticeable in the store and marketing is fun! This was great on its own but also super delicious. It worked well on its own but also in a tofu Mexican bowl.

I like how convenient the microwavable rice packages are. They provide a good variety, whereas normal rice packages (like Uncle Ben's) are usually pretty bland and lack flavor. I'm always happy to pick these up as a dinner option!

I purchased Somos Spicy Refried Beans and they are absolutely delicious. They are so smooth and full of flavor. They also have the perfect amount of spice. They made the best addition to our homemade Mexican food night.

I am late in posting my review. A week ago, I had the opportunity to try Somos, through the offer from Thingtesting. I tried the Mexican Black Beans and Mexican Street Corn White Rice. I really love it. I prepared both Somos products for lunch, serving it with plant-based chicken tenders. It was so good. I like that Somos food is packaged, as it makes it so quick and easy to prepare, especially, I love that it's all Plant-based, Gluten-Free and Non-GMO. True authentic Mexican flavor/taste. I have also tried Somos' Fajita Simmer Sauce and it is really good. I will definitely be buying Somos products regularly.

Love it. Very fluffy, ready in time according the instruction. I bought Cilantro lime, taste is balanced: not sour, enough cilantro. Two servings in the pack is completely enough for 2 people

The flavor is so perfect and delicious. I don't need to add any seasoning. The portion is good enough for two servings, or one if you are a big eater. It is easy to cook/warm it which saves me a lot of time in meal prep. Great choice!

Decent vacuum packed rice! I think its is best as a side dish or in addition to something. Definitely recommend as a good Latin product though!

Loved these! Spicy and flavorful! I added a jar with beans and veggies and cooked together and it made a really easy flavorful dish. Highly recommend!

I purchased the substantial salsa verde burrito bowl kit. A nice vegan meal option with cilantro-flavored rice & a plant-based protein. Note: steer clear if HBP is an issue. A lower-sodium version would be appreciated.

I thought that the beans and rice I tried were fantastic. I used them in vegan nachos and loved my experience. The flavors were perfect and I would recommend them anytime. I got what my stores had, Black and Pinto beans plus Spanish Rice. I am happy to get a new product that does not need any alterations. There was a great deal of sodium on the label, but it did not seem overly salty, and I barely use any salt in cooking.

Used the green enchilada sauce and chipotle white rice tonight for an easy family dinner. Boy was it tasty! No leftovers here which makes for an easier cleanup. Cant wait to try more somos products in the future

I liked this product. The packet was enough for me twice. It’s very convenient that you don’t need to cook for a long time. I heated it in a frying pan, adding a little water. This is very helpful when you are short on time. I was afraid it would be too spicy, but nothing like that. The composition is good, but I would replace sunflower and safflower oil with olive or avocado oil.

It was very easy to use! I also love rice and corn so why not one that has both! Very good with any choice of protein and sauce as well!

I like it and to me it doesnt taste any different that regular rice. It did need a tad bit salt added to it but for it to be a different flavor to try even it wasnt bad at all. By the way i purchased it from Walmart.
