Samsonite

So far I love my Samsonite Proxis carry on suitcase. It's lightweight, sturdy and most importantly fits everything I need for a 2 week summer trip. The little design touches are what makes the difference for me though - the handle is shaped in a way that is really pleasing to hold, the lock mechanism is almost fun to use and the wheels are incredibly smooth. Internally it has zip compartments, a laptop sleeve and a connection for a USB battery pack for external charging. The Samsonite Proxis is by no means cheap, and it definitely isn't as pretty as a Rimowa. But, it's half the price and weight of a Rimowa, plus so far it seems really well built. I also appreciate it comes with a stupidly long guarantee which even includes accidental damage. I'm hoping my Samsonite suitcase will be my travel companion for years to come!

best purchase ever. lovely after sale service, it was like a faulty wheel to start off with but it has no problem after that (i am in Australia) light easy to carry around. sturdy!

I recently had a brand new suitcase fall apart on me during a 6 week trip around Europe. It was New Years Eve and I was struggling to find a luggage store that was open in Budapest. Luckily the Samsonite store was open so I purchased the B-Lite spinner (78cm). The most important factor for me was weight and this is a fantastic lightweight soft side suitcase. It glides effortlessly and I was able to fit in 26kg of luggage with no problems. It’s worth the cost. Very happy with this so far!

I own a few samsonite suitcases and one thing that could be improved is their durability. It’s no secret that airline employees just throw your luggage around so it would be nice if these bags were constructed with a more durable material.

I have always been content with the luggage options by Samsonite. Quality is guaranteed, they are long-lasting and reliable.

I’ve tried many brands and always end up buying Samsonite! I have a few pieces that are many years old. They hold up through many international trips and while they look worn, they have held up over the years.

A wonderful legacy brand with a huge array of products - my partner and I have a multitude of Samsonite bags from over the past 2 decades. My personal observation is that the more stylish, attractive and colorful the design- the less well-made the bag is (especially more scratches that bite into the clean, glossy and smooth design.) Yes these bags are reliable and strongly built overall- but the outer shells can take on quite a lot of scratching. You're not going to loose a zipper nor have your clothing fall out, that's for sure- which is why i'd say these are solid travel bags i'd recommend over other cheaper brands. I just wish my beautiful sage suitcase wasn't so scratched up after the first few uses.
