  • I own 2 pairs and my husband owns 1 pair. If we had an endless closet, I'd get 5 more! They are so comfortable and mold to your foot over time. They are incredibly durable, easy to wear, and comfortable, even for long walks. Dress them up or down.

  • I purchased the Fort Worth Sabahs about a month before we had our Italian vacation scheduled. For that first month, I wore them maybe 5 times to help break them in. Mostly around the house and neighborhood. Took the dog for a walk a few times; also wore them to work once or twice. The work days being the longest I had worn them. It took this amount of time to really break the shoes in. And I am extremely happy I wore them like this prior to our trip. Over the course of our 14 days in Italy I put these Sabahs though the test. Multiple days of only wearing these shoes, average of 11k steps a day, over cobblestone streets and steps, multiple tours and miles. Through a 12 hour Tuscany tour of Siena, San Gimignano, and Pusa (Pisa being the flatest walk of the tour, but I did walk to the top of the tower), walking the streets of Rome, Vatican City, Venice and Naples, these shoes did not disappoint. The Sabahs maintained a softness I didnt realize possible. My feet felt cool and thus my body temperature didnt feel hot despite the 75 to 80+ degree days in Italy during the end of May and early June. Zero pain in my heals or arches, zero pain in my legs and no soreness in my body the next day. Was I pain free? No. Walking all day, my body would naturally swell my feet, and I experienced pain on the top of my foot as a tightness. However, I realized early on to take my time, sit to allow my body some recovery moments, enjoy a good meal with a good glass of wine. This shoe is going to take time to break in. It will take a little effort on your part to have a similar experience. The above seems extreme, even to me, and I have never had a better experience with a shoe. Do not size up!! Pick the size for yiur feet and break the shoes in. The build quality is excellent. I haven't experienced the sole coming apart yet, but I know it will happen, and have already looked up a good cobbler to fix it when it does. This is because I love these shoes and will enjoy them for years to come.

  • I LOVE my Sabahs They are my go-to work, errands, and around the house shoe I have even walked 50 blocks in them without my feet dying true to size and cute colors

They take a moment to break in

  • The website instructs you to size up so I did. The leather slippers were a premium price which I expected since they boast a hand made artisan product. I received them and they were too big. I got an exchanged pair in my actual size (not sized up as they suggested ). They fit great and are comfortable, but after wearing around the house 4 times the staging started coming out all over. For almost $200 bucks I think they should last longer than 4 wears.

There are higher quality products Available for more affordable price

  • I BOUGHT A PAIR FOR MY HUSBAND AND A PAIR FOR MY BROTHER. BOTH MEN LOVED THE FEEL OF IT ON THEIR FEET. I WOULD GET THEM AGAIN IN A HEARTBEAT. THEY ARE DEFINITELY QUALITY PRODUCTS.

  • I own a ridiculous number of Sabahs, both Sabah and Baba styles. The key to these shoes is how you take care of them. When worn and cared for correctly, these shoes become part of your foot.

It is essential that they are resoled soon after the heel begins to wear down. You can typically resole the shoe for $50-70 and that should last 1-2 seasons.

  • My wife and I both wear sabah's daily. We have pairs for around the house (which are super cozy) and I've even worn these with my suit to events in Italy. The variety of colors, and textures make them very versatile. They just get more comfortable over time. Getting your right size is critical. I ordered the wrong size at first and thought they weren't great, but once I returned for a size up, they haven't come off.

The shipping process was ok and overall the durability has been good. It would be great to see more images on the site with people wearing them, as trusting the color of the stock image is hard.

  • I own 3 pairs and counting. They are the perfect shoe to wear around the house, to the office or beach or walk the dog (don't have a dog, but I imagine this to be true). They are also a go-to gift and recipients tend to love them too.

I'd love to see half sizes. I'm in between so wear them a bit loose but I've heard from others they are in between sizes too. Half sizes. And if you can only introduce one half size, Women's 41.5. Thanks!

  • While I never had to replace the sole quickly as many have complained (i dont drag my feet), I would have to say this is a "around the house/neighborhood" shoe. This is NOT a shoe meant for walking long distances. There is zero support for the foot. I walked five miles in NYC the other day and I have never experienced that kind of foot pain in my 50 years of life. I had to spend about 12 hours with my feet propped up to recover. So think about it...unless you're rich, do you really want to spend $200+ for shoes meant for your home only? Stick with jute soled espadrilles for 50 bucks. This is the worst puchase I have ever made.

  • Worst shoes if you are seeking comfort. False advertising says they get better each time you wear them. I bought the black Babas and the upper sole was green instead of tan. Took awhile to figure it out why there was no contrast like in the photos on the website. No refunds, so you best be willing to commit to their products. Very disappointed and wasted time I can’t get back.

Refunds just like other shoe stores, at least within the first 30 days. Customer service is for the customer, not the company first.
