I fell in love with ROUND LAB the first time I tried their Korean-formulated Birch Juice sunscreen—so I had to check out the U.S. versions! ROUND LAB Birch Juice Moisturizing UVLOCK (SPF 45, chemical): Not bad, but not quite the soothing, elegant finish of the Korean original. Different filters meant a but more redness than I am used to, for me. ROUND LAB Birch Juice Mild-Up UVLOCK (SPF 50, zinc): This one, on the other hand, was AMAZING! I tried it out for a few days and couldn't figure out why my skin looked so much more clear and less red than usual. Turns out that topical zinc is fantastic at soothing red irritated skin, and it make my complexion look SO good in a matter of days. Like, I could have mistaken this for a redness/blemish treatment if I didn't know it was a sunscreen. This is definitely my go-to.
