  • Everything I've tried thus far is wonderful. The only caveat is the small bags. I wish they would do small grain sacks in 4lb packages. I'm easing myself into a 100% plant-based diet and eat a lot of beans. I want them to all be as good as those I purchase from Rancho Gordo. There is a local, regional store I purchase from for black beans, lentil and chickpeas and I love them. But for a varied selection with some of the best hot sauces and chili powders around, Rancho Gordo is the best.

  • How is this here but without a review? Rancho Gordo beans are the legit best. I bought beans for years before joining the bean club which is like a cult but in a good way. I now also add in other things besides a haul of beans like chocolate peanut butter and spices. Rancho Gordo taught me how to properly cook and enjoy beans -- and that if you only buy super market beans you are not getting the variety nor the quality. The bean club sends me a quarterly shipment of beans and yes I also gift beans to friends and also have enough in case of another global pandemic. Also love their cookbooks and gift packages/samplers. Bean club is a great social community to share recipes with other beans/home cook nuts. Was introduced to me by a hispanic friend for their quality and I'm never going back to supermarket beans.

  • Absolutely the best beans ever! I've never seen so many heirloom and regional varieties. Flavor, color, and texture outshine what you're used to in the grocery store. I also live that this company buys from small, traditional growers at Fair Trade prices. Some of these, both growers and beans, would be lost to us. Definitely worth the price!
