Reviews mention

  • Bold, candy-like flavors
  • Noticeable post-workout hydration
  • Attractive, eye-catching packaging
  • Electrolyte-rich coconut water base
  • Overly sweet flavor profile
  • Artificial, powdery aftertaste
  • Inconsistent flavor quality
  • Less refreshing when warm

Prime earns mixed reviews: many find the hydration drinks effective after workouts and appreciate bold flavors like Ice Pop, Meta Moon, Blue Raspberry, and Strawberry Watermelon, while others say the brand is overrated, overly sweet, and sometimes leaves a weird or artificial aftertaste. Reviews also note strong flavor intensity and attractive packaging as positives, but call out cloying sweetness, inconsistent taste across flavors, and confusion between hydration and higher-caffeine options as key drawbacks.

  • Ok, better than expected. I'd consider the hydration product as an alternative to Gatorade, but the energy drinks are definitely meh. Stick w/ Celsius, ZOA, or Alani Nu.

  • Tried just about every flavor and did not like it for most it may be something you like but as for me I did not like the taste or how it made my heart beat super fast within minutes of drinking it

  • Super sweet hydration drink that appears to have crack like effects on my children.

  • I don't love these. I feel like they do not hydrate you and are really just overhyped.

  • The drink is ok but I am not sure what all the hype is for. The taste is slightly artificial and isn't much better than a gateroade (which is cheaper).

  • Just a worse Gatorade. I haven’t tried the one with caffeine in it but I doubt it’s better

  • Prime Drink was a huge letdown. The taste was lacking, and the brand's hype didn't match the reality. Despite the eco-friendly packaging, the beverage itself was disappointing and overpriced. I wouldn't recommend it.

  • Genuinely like the flavor of prime but the only thing about prime that I don't personally like is the pricing. Other than the price I think prime is a sport drink where ever you are and especially when you are participating in outdoor activities!

  • It gave me energy but honestly taste like fruitloop sprite liquid. Way too sweet and definitely marketed towards kids which they do not need more energy lol

  • Prime is good in certain flavours and not so good in others. I quite like the cans but the bottles are not my thing! Obviously everyone's taste is different but in my opinion, Prime is overrated for what it is.

  • Too expensive, too sweet, and the creators of the brand have made some very poor moral/ethical decisions. Even if the product was good, I would not support Prime.

  • Prime is very good drink, but it’s very sweet and at first when it was sold it was hard to get and it was also expensive but now it is everywhere

  • I went to Walgreens and bought it. Terrible tasting and very suit. Its not a health drink. I rather drink just regular coconut water or get a non chemical tasting powder supplement and mix it with yogurt. Not a very good product.

  • Have tried a few, wasn’t a huge fan of the taste. I definitely liked the grape and lemon lime flavours more, but I’ve also heard that the energy drink range are better than the hydration drinks flavour wise! For me they didn’t live up to the stigma and probably not worth the price tag - luckily I found most of them on sale!

  • I was not a huge fan because of the hype around the drink when it first came out. My poor review may just be from disappointment

  • I’ve tried most of the prime flavours even all the can flavours to . I do enjoy prime but I feel like they are very overhyped. Just as good as any other

  • This review is for the Prime hydration drinks as I have never used the Prime energy drinks. Many have commented about the sweetness of these drinks in general. I tend to actually like the sweetness. If you’re looking for a “water” type drink…this ain’t it. Think Gatorade but a little sweeter. Most of the hydration drinks are 20-30 calories for the whole 16 Oz bottle. Sorry, but you can’t go wrong here. If you like water, we get it…drink your gallon. But some of us like a little flavor. And for minimal calories and minimal sugar (usually 5 g per bottle) - I’m good with it! Price…not good. Usually around $2-3.5 so definitely more expensive than you’d like, and more expensive than a bigger Gatorade. The drink pouches are awful. I would never recommend those. Very odd and artificial taste. I would only recommend the bottles. 10% coconut water 250 mg BCAA B Vitamins. I tend to have a sensitive stomach. These drinks have never caused any GI upset or issues. Flavors: Meta Moon (taste like Skittles) - 8.25 Ice Pop (bomb pop) - 7.75 Grape - 7 Tropical Punch - 6.25 Blue Raspberry - 6.25 Strawberry Watermelon - 6.25 Lemon Lime - 5.5 Lemonade - 5 For reference, Blue Gatorade is a 7, Red Gatorade is a 6, Yellow Gatorade is a 6.5

  • My boys love prime! I love that they drink more when it's an option for them. They smell good.
