Petit Pot earns enthusiastic reviews for delivering rich, ultra-creamy, French‑style desserts—standouts include Dark Chocolate, Pistachio, Vanilla Bean, Rice Pudding, Crème Brûlée, and plant‑based chocolate that tastes convincingly dairy—yet feedback flags recurring drawbacks: small portions, flavor inconsistencies (pistachio/vanilla or watery rice pudding for some), and frequent comments that it’s pricey. Reviews also praise the smooth, mousse‑like texture, balanced sweetness, and charming reusable glass jars, while noting a packaging downgrade to foil‑topped jars and a desire for more flavors, especially plant‑based.

By far the worst rice pudding I have ever had in my life. I bought the 14 oz container. The pudding is liquid, the consistency of a soup. The vanilla bean flavor barely there. In general, it’s a liquid tasteless something not even resembling rice pudding. I grew up with rice pudding made by my grandmother- absolute perfection, although that was in an Eastern European country. But the recipe seems to be consistent with what I had in other places. In our Boston area there is a large Armenian community. I had their rice pudding from their stores and in Armenian restaurants, it is the same thing as what I was used to-a solid desert, not a soupy one, but rather a dessert with a certain consistency and good vanilla and milk taste, and the rice cooked properly. Other middle eastern countries make it too and it’s all the same. Of course, Indian restaurants will often have it. Googling it I found out it originated in India, 6,000 BC. Why a Californian company decided to make a non-French dessert and call it “Petit Pot” as if it was some known French specialty is beyond me. All in all, it is an epic miss.

I tried the chocolate, vanilla, and rice puddings. The chocolate and vanilla were so creamy and decadent. If they were served as dessert in a fine dining restaurant they would be right at home. The rice pudding was good but not at the level of the other two—not much rice and a bit bland comparatively.

I love the pistachio flavor—it's like a grown-up version of the Jello pistachio pudding. It is thick, creamy, and just the right amount of sweetness. Plus, the glass containers are great for repurposing.

These are the perfect little treat! They are bit pricey for the amount you get, but overall worth it. The chocolate hazelnut is my favorite! Such a good balance of sweetness and creaminess. I'm usually not someone that can finish a whole dessert but the flavor of the Petit Pots aren't overly sweet, so you don't feel bogged down by a ton of sugar if you do eat the entire jar. I also mixed a jar with some chia pudding, and it was such a great addition and added a little bit extra flavor to the chia - would recommend!

I have been a *regular* consumer of the classic dark chocolate dessert and recently discovered the creme brûlée. Not only are they incredibly delicious, but they provide a super fun at-home dining experience from prep to finish. Also JUST learned they have reusable lids for their glass jars (sustainable and cute!) and couldn't be more obsessed. Can't wait to share these with more family and friends.

It was the absolute best! I bought at Costco when they were trying to get into Costco they had a small sampling booth and I was in love! It is the perfect quick dessert at home. So soft and tasty. It feels like it is made with top notch vanilla and doesn't leave a feeling on your mouth like some similar items out in the market.

These are simply delightful. The chocolate mousse is a family favorite. Nothing tastes better than a goody in a cold glass jar!
