Reviews mention

  • Exceptional durability and construction
  • Lightweight warmth in jackets
  • Versatile, travel-friendly designs
  • Credible sustainability and repairs
  • Inconsistent, confusing apparel sizing
  • Occasional fleece pilling issues
  • Delicate nano puff shell fabric
  • Mixed wind and waterproof performance

Patagonia earns overwhelmingly positive reviews and proves itself a good brand: gear is exceptionally durable, warm, and versatile across activities, with standouts like the Nano Puff, Better Sweater, Synchilla fleeces, Atom Sling, and Black Hole bags. Reviews also flag drawbacks—frequent comments on high pricing, inconsistent or tricky sizing (especially women’s bottoms), occasional fleece pilling and Nano Puff snags, a few wind/waterproof performance gaps, and muted styling for some tastes—making in‑store try‑ons and product selection key.

  • I have a few pieces from this brand and while expensive they are worth the money, especially if you get them on heavily discounted sale prices for discontinued colors or styles. I have a 3 in one raincoat/puffer jacket and a puffer scarf. I’m from the South and now live in the PNW, needless to say I’m cold. I lived in these things and they kept me dry and warm while also stylish. Their brand comes in so many colors so people who like bright, neutrals or muted colors will find something. Best part is my pieces still look new after a few years of use.

  • This brand has a hype for a reason. I have a jacket and it has been with me for who knows how long

  • I recently tried my father's Patagonia fleece jacket and found it impressively warm. Despite not layering with winter clothes underneath, the jacket kept me comfortably warm in cold temperatures and windy conditions.

  • Warm sweaters and coats Lifetime guarantee of product quality or at least help with repair of damaged clothing

  • I have a Patagonia vest and find it to be super lightweight but also very warm, exactly what you want from a down product! I find myself wearing it more often than I thought I would. Also liked giving these as gifts over the holiday.

  • So reliable. Their stuff lasts forever and they have a lifetime guarantee

  • I absolutely LOVE my Patagonia Puffer Jacket! It's perfect for any occasion and goes with just about any outfit. I've had my puffer jacket for years now and it is still in perfect condition! Definitely worth the money!!

  • Patagonia is an amazing brand with a great mission and great products. I personally think they are a little overpriced. I only own their products because I used to work for an outdoor store and received a discount. After years, my jackets, shirts, and sweatshirts still look great.

  • I live in the midwest where it gets coldddd and everything I have bought has lasted me for years. GREAT quality!

  • Honestly patagonia is the best. Price point is obviously high, but you can pay just as much elsewhere without the commitment to their mission and their unending willingness to stand behind their product. I’m talking years - decades - after purchase they’ll help with the even the smallest quality issues no questions asked. They want you to know their products are for life. A really really refreshing alternative to products that lead to waste and over consumption

  • The durability of every product is simply unmatched by other brands! I’m in year 12 of one jacket and still get compliments! My kids hand down the coats from the oldest to the youngest and then to another family! That is sustainability at its finest! #longevity

  • I love their products, when I can afford them. They are high quality and I have had a great luck with well loved products, that are pre owned, as well as new purchases. I do wish the price point was a little bit lower as sweaters can he $200, however I can't say that the quality isn't there. I love their down jackets, and parkas

  • I have a few things by Patagonia and they never fail to amaze me. Very high quality and great storytelling and sustainability efforts. Would recommend to anyone.

  • I am a huge Patagonia fan! Since I am an avid backpacker, much of my wardrobe is made up of Patagonia. I received my first Patagonia item as a birthday gift approximately 35 years ago. It was the Synchilla Snap-T Pullover. Years later when the trim on the sleeves became frayed, I sent it in to be repaired. Patagonia took care of it for free. I wear it now, and it still looks great. I was, and still is amazed at how they back their products. Even today, I still tell freinds about that experience. They have one of the best warranty programs in the industry. That made me a loyal Patagoniac for life. I probably have another 17 Patagonia items in my closet now. They look great, and perform in all types of weather, like they are supposed to. They bring true value to all their products.

  • I use Patagonia clothes as both every day city wear and technical wear for climbing, hiking, etc. The jackets especially are durable and well made, and Patagonia stores often have events where you can get your gear repaired.

  • I have worn Patagonia products for years. I live in New England where the weather fluctuates often. I have owned winter coats, rain gear, lighter jackets and fleece. Their jackets are warm, functional, transitional and dependable. I love that they have used gear now that you can purchase on their website.

This brand stands behind their product. I wish they sold used gear at their stores.

  • I've had my patagonia products for over 20 years. They're amazing.

  • Just the best. Their products are great and definitely a bit of a splurge but they last long and Patagonia has great policies if something happens. Also, their mission to support the environment, and the way they've been putting money behind that lately really seals the deal as them being my go to for sporty clothing
