  • Creamy, luxurious mouthfeel
  • Reliable, barista-grade frothing
  • Smooth, neutral oat flavor
  • Versatile, beverage performance
  • Additive-heavy ingredient list
  • Seed oil, rapeseed inclusion
  • Occasional digestive discomfort
  • Sometimes overly sweet taste

Oatly impresses in reviews for café-worthy performance—its Barista Edition froths reliably and delivers a creamy, smooth texture that elevates coffee, matcha, and lattes—while dividing opinion over formulation. Fans praise the rich mouthfeel, neutral-to-oaty flavor, and versatility across baking, cereal, and smoothies; critics cite seed/rapeseed oils, gums/additives, sweetness, and occasional digestive upset as drawbacks. Overall, Oatly is considered a top-tasting, highly consistent oat milk for beverages, but less appealing to buyers prioritizing ultra‑clean ingredients.

  • I make a lot of espresso drinks at home. I've tried probably seven brands of oat milk and I always come back to Oatley. It just has the best taste and froths the best.

  • Tastes really good with my coffee and matcha drinks

  • As a former barista, oatly is the only non dairy milk that can come close to making a creamy and delicious latte. It’s full bodied without upsetting your tummy. What’s not to love?

  • My new go to. It's dating after a divorce, you need to accept and appreciate what's to come. I love me now some Oatly

  • This has been my go-to milk for years whenever I drink coffee. Now that I've skipped the habit, I don't actually need a "milk substitute", though I buy it if I'm having friends for dinner. Also, I find the branding of the product a bit over-the-top. I would like to find the basic facts about the brand easily, in an accessible and concise format. Their website is filled with hipster fonts and videos about their vision, but that's not my cup of tea - or, my cup of coffee either. Nevertheless, Oatly was among the first "vegan dairy" to make it in North Europe so I have to give them four stars for innovativity.

  • Makes delicious cappuccinos

  • Delicious, rich and frothy in my coffee.

  • Oatly Barista + Espresso = Delicious

  • I love this oat milk and I only use this for my daily coffee!
