Reviews mention

  • Creamy, dairy-like mouthfeel
  • Exceptional barista-grade frothing
  • Versatile, cooking-friendly consistency
  • Consistently smooth, neutral flavor
  • Additive-heavy ingredient list
  • Occasional glucose-spike concerns
  • Possible gut sensitivity reports
  • Inconsistent thickness across versions

Oatly earns strong reviews for creamy, dairy-like texture—especially the Barista Edition, which froths reliably for café-level lattes and blends beautifully in coffee, matcha, and baking—while critiques target ingredient lists with added oils/gums and a sometimes sweet or “oaty” aftertaste. Reviews also note occasional gut sensitivity and glucose spikes, plus variability in thickness across versions, making Oatly a standout for performance in drinks but not ideal for those seeking the cleanest formulas.

  • A favorite oat mik in our home.

  • This is one of my top favorite brands. I love it in my iced coffee.

  • Not sure if the recipe changed over the course of the year or if it just doesn't pair well with some of our coffee beans.. ? The texture is great though! And it does taste better than most other competitors that tends to be on the sweeter side.

  • For me this is one of the best I have ever had 💯

  • Having lactose sensitivity and nut allergies, it's hard to find a good creamer for my coffee or milk substitute for my granola. This is and will always be my go to. It's light, not oily and smooth in taste

  • Tastes great and doesn’t make me feel bloated

  • Love it!!

  • Great taste. Love to make a cappucino with this milk. Ingredients could be better though.

  • although i’m not personally a fan of oat milk i do find this brand to be one of the better ones and choose it when it’s available

  • I like oatly, but I wish they would not use coconut oil in their products.

  • In my opinion, oatly was the first brand to really get into oatmilk. I find that their brand is one of the creamiest. The one downside is how expensive it is for a relatively small amount.

  • I was one of the very first Oatly drinkers long before they became so mainstream. At the time I was looking for a Milk alternative but unfortunately, I think there are just too many ingredients, and inflammatory oils and their products so ultimately I’ve stopped using them.

  • Very good milk, good consistency and tasty, I cooked crapes and was delicious

  • Regularly bought from this brand’s when I mainlined my groceries on one of the quick delivery apps - I fell in love. Love their branding, and how much they’re willing to push for social good outside of producing some pretty darn good oat milk.

  • This is one of the creamiest alternatives to dairy milk. I've been vegan for over 8 years and this hits right with a nice warm cup of hot chocolate.

  • I love using Oatly, because it has a great creamy consistency for lattes and foams better for lattes than other oat milk brands.

  • The best milk ever ! I love making matcha with it . It’s super tasty and creamy

  • Love the minimal ingredients, mild flavor

  • My doctor took me off dairy products due to some health issues and oatly helped me make the switch seamlessly and with awesome taste and flavor!

  • Creamy texture. This goes really well with Matcha latte. High recommend!
