  • Creamy, luxurious mouthfeel
  • Reliable, barista-grade frothing
  • Smooth, neutral oat flavor
  • Versatile, beverage performance
  • Additive-heavy ingredient list
  • Seed oil, rapeseed inclusion
  • Occasional digestive discomfort
  • Sometimes overly sweet taste

Oatly impresses in reviews for café-worthy performance—its Barista Edition froths reliably and delivers a creamy, smooth texture that elevates coffee, matcha, and lattes—while dividing opinion over formulation. Fans praise the rich mouthfeel, neutral-to-oaty flavor, and versatility across baking, cereal, and smoothies; critics cite seed/rapeseed oils, gums/additives, sweetness, and occasional digestive upset as drawbacks. Overall, Oatly is considered a top-tasting, highly consistent oat milk for beverages, but less appealing to buyers prioritizing ultra‑clean ingredients.

  • Best alternative milk there is! Tried other oat milks before but this one tastes the best and froths up well.

  • I highly recommend Oatly. I had never heard of Oat Milk until about 5 years ago when I visited my favorite coffee shop Ninas in St. Paul MN. They told me about Oat Milk and my life was changed after that first oat milk latte. I went back weekly. Oatly's milk is the creamiest milk I have tasted they have absolutely perfected that creamy consistency but also not to forget it froths perfectly. As a dairy-free girl myself, I love having the look of a regular latte with the same creaminess but no terrible stomach pain. Oat milk my Oatly is my favorite.

If you are looking for creamy, easily foams oat milk. Oatly is your girl. She is the creamiest on the market by far and doesn't stop you from making your favorite drinks without the stomach pain that dairy can cause many of us. I highly recommend Oatly for all your drink-making dreams. Best of all Oatly comes in 3 different creamy levels. I recommend dark blue packaging for the creamiest form. Enjoy :)

  • Best milk alternative. Other alternatives have a weird taste or a weird texture but oatly is just fine. It’s not exactly like milk, but it is the closest thing. The milk is not too sweet nor too bland. A wide array of choices from low fat to fat free, there is something for everyone

It’s more expensive than milk. Has had issues before with some recalls and stuff.

  • I love the flavor! I would be so excited if the cafe uses Oatly for my lattes. It simply tastes better than other oat milk on the market.

It's not the healthiest. The fat content is higher than other brands on the market, while this is the dominant "healthy milk" on the market. I know it's a tough job to word things as they are in marketing, but it's also important to stay authentic.

  • Simply love it for it's unique flavor. It doesn't work in harmony with coffee though.

  • I have tried every major oat milk and nothing compares to Oatly! It's so creamy unlike many other oat milks that are very water-y and tastes amazing! I think I'm on my 100th bottle by now and I will definitely continue purchasing.

  • I have a severe allergy to dairy, and finding good dairy alternatives to milk and ice cream is very difficult to me, After discovering Oatly, I was thoroughly impressed! Their milk is great in smoothies and in baking, and their ice cream is a great treat. I am also a fan of the low price points.

  • Cult favorite. Not too sweet unlike some oat milks.

Keep on with the bold brand mission and comms.

  • Personally, this is not my *cup of tea*... But, my partner is obsessed, so I'm writing this on his behalf. The innovation of this product is incredible, and has the best copy of any competitor product. It's modern, quirky and follows a super Gen Z approach to marketing. Their transparency is great & my partner wouldn't have a tea without Oatly.

Personally, I think it tastes... *too* oaty for me to convert religiously. However, my partner loves the oaty taste so I think it's down to preference. He also prefers the barista version to the original blue as he thinks it tastes nicer in tea. Personally, I think it's worth giving a go if you like the oaty taste! It is also on the little bit of the spenny side...

  • I don’t do well with dairy and hate the alternatives on the market such as coconut, almond or soy, so I was pleasantly surprised at how much I love oat milk. It’s creamy and tastes amazing. Definitely worth the money.

  • I love Oatly. Their brand and products are so unique and high quality! I’m a home barista, so Oatly’s Full Fat Oak Milk is always in our fridge.

  • As far as oat milk goes, this is the cream of the crop, but it still has limitations regarding all the applications you'd use traditional dairy for. The flavor is still distinctly "oat" so as long as you embrace that instead of a direct swap for dairy, it's a solid alternative that will perform well for coffee drinks. The largest drawback for me is the list of ingredients which is a who's who list of unhealthy food bi-products.

If this product could be made with healthy whole food ingredients instead of engineered food products, it'd go a long way towards making me feel good about having it in my fridge at home.

  • I love their brand mission, their packaging is stunning and I love their social media. Obviously dairy free alternatives are super important and these guys are really transparent in what they do and I love their brand messaging.

They're great, I just have had better oat milks. It's a bit watery. But I wouldn't not drink it.

  • I think Oatly is pretty good! Their barista oat milk is very good and I love it in my coffee. The regular oat milk definitely has an oat milk taste to it, if that makes any sense.

    Feedback

The barista oat milk is hard to find, so maybe more accessible?
