Nespresso is appreciated for its convenience, variety of flavors, and quality of coffee. However, it has been criticized for its pricey pods, occasional machine malfunctions, loud operation, and unsatisfactory customer service.

Very delicious coffee. A bit expensive for the pods, but not more expensive than leaving the house to buy cups of coffee. 

My Nespresso machine was a bit of an impulse purchase while it was on sale. It was easy enough to use and to clean. The coffee was nice, but the pods can be expensive. I found I defaulted back to my instant coffee routine because it was quicker, cheaper and more accessible, but each to their own. Still a good machine if you're after a more barista style coffee at home.

This definitely makes a high quality cup of coffee, and it is about the same price as a Keurig. I guess it is just based on your preference as to the types of coffee that are offered. I was gifted a Nespresso Virtuo, and so far it works great. I wish there were more coffee pods available, but they have a decent variety still, and the coffee maker looks modern, and still fits with the rest of the kitchen.

TLDR: Not 100% perfect, but in my opinion, the best at-home option for fast espresso.

Nespresso has mastered a few key things: 
- fast at-home espresso production
- making it easy to make espresso
- creating a slim/non-counter-invasive machine that makes good espresso
- offering a range of espresso pods for novice to experienced espresso drinkers

They do, definitely have some opportunities for growth. Most notable for me: 
- The machine does jam up every once in a while, and I have to manually get in there and tinker to figure out what's wrong. Sometimes a pod is stuck in a weird place, sometimes it doesn't recognize that there is in fact water in the tank, etc. 
- Some of the coffee pods have a chemical aftertaste, particularly the coffee-style pods. I really don't care for the flavored coffee pods. 
- It's definitely loud. Like, it sounds like it's grinding beans and working REALLY HARD to turn your pod into a drink loud. Which is weird because....it's not really doing all that much. 

I'm glad I have one, and I dig it, but I do look forward to the future of nespresso's products for sure! They're definitely taking customer feedback as it comes to aesthetic design - I'm thinking they'll work on some of the more functional elements in the coming years, too :) 

We recently got the Nespresso Vertuo Plus and we’ve been really surprised at the quality of coffee and espresso this little machine provides. We are owners of a Breville espresso machine and I have a Keurig at work. This machine is my favorite for quick and easy coffees. 

Pros: Quick Brew, Water Tank, No Clean-Up, Sleek Style/Color Choices, Amazing Taste/Quality/Selection, Small Footprint, Great Hassle-Free Recycling Program

Cons: Pricey Coffee Pods, Louder Brew

Kept me awake at late nights at the synchrotron

I am lazy and can't be bothered to deal with coffee grinds. I'm not even a hardcore coffee drinker. Mostly bought this to press a button for hubby in the morning. I like that they have lots of different flavours/types/regional varietals, and the system is reliable. Delivery is convenient and quick, the freebies are great, and the product is consistent. What more do you want? Could the coffee be stronger? Sure - but convenience is king. I'm on my 2nd machine and will continue on in the Nespresso ecosystem. 

Works pretty well, just obviously wish they had better solutions to the pod environmental dilemma. I have the one that's a collab with De'Longhi and given the price tag it doesn't work as well as it should.

I have both lines, the vertuo, and the original pods, and it's perfect. It's super helpful if you're go go go, and it doesn't make a mess. You don't have to clean/change the coffee filter, or make sure to turn the machine off and the coffee is burnt. Don't have to worry about measuring coffee ratio to water. It just makes things simple, and clean. Pods are expensive, but it's the price you're willing to pay for comfort.
