Reviews mention

  • Refined, natural-leaning fragrances
  • Gentle, sensitive-skin formulas
  • Smooth, comfortable application
  • Attractive, sustainable packaging
  • Inconsistent odor protection longevity
  • White residue and shirt staining
  • Occasional gritty, sticky texture
  • Body wash sometimes feels drying

Native earns praise for clean ingredients, standout scents (Coconut & Vanilla, Cucumber & Mint, Lilac & White Tea, Citrus & Herbal Musk) and comfortable, non-irritating wear for many, but reviews say performance is inconsistent: the deodorant often fades by midday, struggles in heat/workouts, can leave white residue or shirt stains, and some experience rashes or gritty texture. Reviews of body wash and hair care skew positive for gentle lather and pleasant aromas, though a few find body wash drying and shampoos underwhelming. Overall, Native is a good natural option if you don’t sweat heavily and will reapply; heavy sweaters may need stronger protection.

  • The brand is great! I feel fresh and dry all day and the scent is always good!!

  • Love Native has great smells! The body wash is amazing but the natural deodorant doesn't work for me!

  • I have tried many different aluminum free deodorants only to be caught in a situation where I was unable to raise my arms or hug people. I found this product and was amazed when I realized that I was able to go all day without having to wash dry and reapply. It really helped me break my relationship with the products that contain aluminum. So happy.

  • I have been an avid Native deodorant user for nearly 2 years now. I used to have to reapply 3 times a day to stop the excessive sweating. Now I apply once in the morning and I am good to go for the rest of the day even if I go swimming or am doing an intense workout! I love Native and really enjoy trying new scents every time I run out!

  • Love how smooth the bar is — other natural deodorants I’ve tried would crumble or were too wet. Keeps me odor-free and I never have to reapply on a typical day working from home. If I’m out and about on a summer day, I’ll sometimes reapply once but that’s expected. Also love that they have an all-paper packaging! Not all scents have this option but the one’s I use do and I love that it’s better for the environment! I rotate between the lavender scent and the cucumber scent.

  • I used Native’s travel-sized Vanilla deodorant on a trip to New Zealand. I was doing a 3-day track across Abel Tasman National Park, so it was multiple days of walking for 10+ miles and a lot of sweating. It was also the only deodorant I packed for my entire 12 day trip. Unfortunately it didn’t keep me smelling like vanilla for very long, by the end of the day I was just left with very unpleasant body odor. I’ve also used their charcoal deodorant, wearing it to the beach and a daily basis (no multi-day treks), and it seemed to hold up slightly better, but definitely not the best natural deodorant I have used.

  • Love the coconut vanilla product line. My go to body wash

  • Use their face mineral sunscreen leaves little white cast (at least for fair skin). Smooth, not greasy, and also kind of works as a primer in a weird way.

  • I have almost exclusively used native products for going on 2 years and I don't have enough good things to say about them! My hair not only smells great, but there is a noticeable difference in the amount of the buildup otherwise caused by other hair care products. The body wash smells amazing and feels even better. My only quarrel lies with the deodorant. For me it required constant reapplication and didn't serve as well as other deodorants that I have tried.

  • Didn’t work for me smelt like kitty litter after awhile, I tried because it was most rated and had good reviews. I recommend trying it for yourself everyone is different

  • I love the sleekness and smell of the Native shampoo and body wash! You get what you pay for!

  • My husband and I have been trying their products and overall the shampoo, conditioner and body wash smell and feel amazing on your skin. The deodorant isn't as strong for my husband though. I personally love their body wash the most.

  • Love the branding and product offerings but the effectiveness is just not there.

  • I didnt see the effects even by using the product for a month

  • Native deodorant is below average for a natural deodorant. I definitely noticed a reduction in smell, and the variety of scents to choose from is nice, however, the pronounced deodorant stains and lack of antiperspirant power make me hesitant to repurchase.

  • Great product, interesting and creative smells. After a while it gave me a rash, so it’s not my daily.

  • The sugar cookie scent... enough said. Always get complements especially when using the body wash!

  • I love all of the native products. They smell amazing too

  • These are 100% green-washed. Native is owned by Proctor & Gamble. Plus, they don't last as long as advertised.

  • Overall I love Natives focus on bringing clean ingredient transparency to affordable body products. The selection of scents are great especially the eucalyptus body wash. My one improvement is that the body lotion never rubs into or gets absorbed into my skin very well.
