  • Smooth-writing gel pens
  • Thoughtful minimalist design
  • Durable storage organizers
  • Calming in-store atmosphere
  • Boxy apparel fits
  • Occasional pen smudging
  • Inconsistent clothing quality
  • Flimsy cleaning tools

Muji earns strong reviews as a minimalist one‑stop shop that works well for stationery, storage, and home basics—its 0.36–0.5 gel pens, notebooks, diffusers, and modular organizers draw consistent praise for smooth performance, thoughtful design, and longevity. Reviews also flag drawbacks: clothing can fit boxy or feel mid‑quality, some items (especially certain home goods) feel overpriced, pens may smudge or skip, and online selection/UX lags, making in‑store experiences distinctly better.

  • Where would I be without Muji pens and notebooks?? They're inexpensive, high quality, and nice to look at. Their clothing and home goods are also high quality and thoughtfully designed, though I'm less of a devotee to these products than I am to their stationery.

No real feedback! I've enjoyed every Muji product I've ever purchased.

  • Obsessed with their products and price.

    Feedback

Wish ordering from their website was easier, and cheaper for shipping.

  • I've been a huge fan of Muji for years and continue to love the brand. The minimal branding and useful products are lovely.

I think they should expand on their household items which are innovative and clean, and reduce their clothing section which is very basic and modern (but often times boring). The website is also very outdated and doesn't have all the products they have in store.

  • Everything is so clean, minimal, and affordable. Can't go wrong with anything!

Honestly I cant think of much that would need improving. A handful of times products that I've specifically gone in for have been out of stock, so maybe just having more backstock.

  • Love Muji - have been using their stuff for ages! Their store at my local mall closed a few years ago, so I am glad I stocked up on stationary and some essential oils (LOVE the oil diffuser they sell, it's so sleek and pretty).

  • So I used to frequent often at the Muji store location in NY and it was one of my favorite places to visit. I have a large collection of their stationary (which by far is my personal favorite) and I am hopelessly in love with their products. I did also get myself a few household items for storage organization as I appreciate their basic and clean home aesthetics. Despite the price point the experience of shopping for Muji products online and when I was able to in person was always a delight.

I wish they had more U.S locations. From my understanding they closed the New York store if I remember correctly and I don't know if there are any locations left. I currently reside in Florida and wish I could go in person as the experience of Muji is better irl

  • Their products are affordable and fashionable without branding if you like clean products. Their stationary is high quality and they have nice pens at the 0.38 mm point. I love the smell of their candles as well. If I you have a store nearby the shopping experience is always good for me.

    I wish they had

  • I love the socks from Muji! I always want plain crewneck socks that are like right above my ankle and the only place I have been able to find them is at Muji. I originally bought one pair in store while I was in NYC and became obsessed with the high quality and low price point for the socks. I then ordered about 20 pairs off the website and found out that they actually happened to be men's socks. I also always appreciate that there is usually if not most of the time a sale on the socks making it super affordable to stock up on nice high quality cotton socks!

I wish they had brick-and-mortar locations somewhere in California or other places throughout the US rather than just online!

  • Love Muji, wish they had more U.S. storefronts. It's like walking through an Ikea, but way better. Cheap homegoods that are good quality like washcloths, slippers, things like that. Favorite products line by far is the stationary -- calendars, pens, pencils, all of it. Only ones I use to write with these days.

  • I just like the style of everything they have. It is like mini Ikea with clothing instead of furniture. Very low prices, the quality is just ok. Its not going to last long, but considering low prices, i am ok with that.

    okay, quality could be better.

  • I love everything about Muji. From their high quality, simple designs to the price, I've enjoyed every product I've gotten from them.

  • The stores smell really good and have a good layout that allows for exploration. The brand is cool and high quality. The products that I've gotten from here (ranging from pens to storage bins to turtlenecks).

More storage options in more sustainable formats! Most of their stuff is plastic.

  • LOVE the Muji lifestyle. I want it all. Icon pens (goes without saying).

    Feedback

Clothing options are very boxy, would love some more tailored/slim fitting options.

  • Everything I've bought from Muji - from pens to clothes - has been a joy to use. The pens are a particular success - I don't like using any other ones, and for the price I have little reason to seek new ones. The clean look of the company's aesthetic is so much easier to love and buy.

  • Chic and perfect for small household items. Well-made clothes as well.

  • Everything is calm, intentional, and quietly functional. I love how their pens, storage, even their clothes, all have this quiet utility, nothing flashy, just things that work and make your space feel more like you.

  • A million amazing and great products. I always get carried away every time I visit Muji

  • I remeber making fun of my mom whenever she walked in to Muji. I have become her lol! Wherever I travel and there is one, i think i go in about 10x per trip. It has everything one needs and more
