This is a review that expresses dislike of a major ingredient Mounia Haircare uses. It is included in the ingredients list, but they mask over it in their advertising. For many of their products, such as the shampoo and the serum, they promote that they are silicone free. This leads the consumer to expect that the conditioner mask would also be free of silicones. However, one of the top major ingredients is dimethicone. It is the 5th ingredient of 18 ingredients. I purchased the conditioner mask without reading the extensive ingredient list and then discovered it is dimethicone heavy. I noticed that after using it only once, that after drying my hair, it felt too dry, almost straw-like, which is a symptom many of us experience when using hair products that contain silicones. I had to then use a clarifying shampoo to restore the softness of my hair. I wrote this review for their website, but they did not post it, which leads me to believe that they do not post negative reviews. Nor did they email me to convey that they read my review. I also notice that there are no "google" reviews of their products, which makes me wonder if they are controlling reviews of their products. Those looking for moisturizing silicone free conditioners should be aware to avoid this conditioner mask. I purchased this product. I did not receive it free or at a discount. I did like the shampoo and will continue to use it. I was optimistic about the hair serum-oil, but that too made my hair feel dry and stray like, even though it does not contain silicone.
