Milk Bar polarizes: reviews praise the in-store classics like Cereal Milk soft serve, Milk Bar Pie, Birthday Cake, and cake truffles as nostalgic, inventive, and delicious, yet many find products overwhelmingly sweet and note uneven quality in packaged grocery items. Reviews also flag inconsistent freshness and multiple failed or late deliveries, while applauding playful branding and gift appeal, plus solid gluten-free options.

Very delicious and great quality

would love to see more locations and pop ups
I’ve had the cakes, cookies and some of the items that they sell in stores now. Overall, they are good. I think this would be something that would be fun to send someone as a gift but I wouldn’t just get it; it would need to be for an occasion of sorts.

A little on the pricey side.
Everything I've had from Milkbar has been so bonkers good I lose sleep thinking about it. The truffles are the real stand out to me, but I've tried everything and its hard to go wrong. This makes a real showstopper as something to bring to a party or send as a gift.
It wasn't worth the hype. The flavor was really bland. It's sad because I really wanted to love it like everyone else. :(
I have never been to a physical Milkbar store but I have tasted their prepackaged treats and they were good. My opinion on them might differ once I do go to the store but as of now I will continue to purchase them prepackaged.
You're paying for the brand & the packaging, but the treats are genuinely tasty too!

I
I had the metal box version of MilkBar. The packaging is very cute, but the cookies don't taste as good as they appear to be, especially since it is prepackaged. By contrast, the in-person MilkBar experience is much better.
Feedback
Preserving the cookie flavor better in the prepackaged version.

Although I love the in-person Milkbar experience, I don't really care for the at-home products. My favorite thing they offer is the cereal milk soft serve, but that is unfortunately not something you can get delivered. The cookies are pretty good but there are better cookie deliveries out there. I find the cakes to be a bit too sweet for my taste as well. I'd say its worth a try if you really love the brand, but I wouldn't get hopes up for the most amazing at-home dessert.
Lots of fun, creative baked goods. I prefer the items in-store to the packaged ones.
The ice cream, the crunchies, I love them all! My favorite is the cereal milk flavor stuff, but honestly everything from this brand is so delicious. Sometimes a bit too sweet, but it comes with the territory.

Everything I've tried is SO sweet. I love baking and I actually have a major sweet tooth, but the flavors in the supermarket products are especially lacking.
I recently got a small Birthday Cake flavored cookie on my United flight and it was not for me. It was overly sweet for such a small cookie, that I had to spit it out. I did like the soft texture though. Overall if you don't like super sweet things this would not be for you.

I ordered one of their birthday cakes for my friends birthday. It’s was so good. It also kept well for a really long time in the freezer.
Sooo tasty, and the most charming and lovely branding! I think the woman behind Milk Bar is a genius (and a role model of mine). I am never disappointed when I visit, and I love that there are delicious gluten-free options (that's hard to come by).
I recently came across a new brand and decided to give their "It" item, the Cereal Ice Cream, a try. Unfortunately, it turned out to be too sweet for my liking and I found myself preferring a regular vanilla ice cream instead. While I gave it a shot, I don't see myself going back for more. However, their Birthday Cake truffles completely won me over! They were incredibly flavorful and indulgent. I highly recommend trying them out, as well as their Cookies which were equally delicious. If I had to choose a favorite, it would definitely be the Compost. These cookies have the perfect balance of crunch and chewiness. Personally, I feel that their baked goods outshine their ice cream offerings. I strongly suggest giving all of their cookie flavors a try.
I love these milk cookies so much and I can not wait to try more form this brand
delivery is good but cakes are so heinous and leave a horrible aftertaste. super dense and taste like paste, will make you crazy thirsty. cookies are also pretty bad
I don't understand the obsession here, everything is insanely sweet to the point of barely being able to eat a few bites. It doesn't necessarily taste bad, it's just super expensive for something that I don't even want to eat.
Pretty good and makes a fun gift to send to people who live far away. Their items are REALLY sweet so you really can’t eat too much at once in my opinion
If Milkbar stayed open 24hrs, I would def be there at 2:45am for my guilty pleasure. No traffic on the LA streets and just me and the Cake Truffles. Love ya Milkbar, keep at it!
