Mercado Famous

I don’t recommend Mercado Famous. I ordered a $300 jamon Serrano for a NYE party. It did not arrive when it was supposed to, but I can understand that the holiday season is a busy time. However, it took so long that I had forgotten about it when I fortunately saw my order confirmation a month later. I sent them an email, “Maggie” from customer service replied saying she’d get back to me. She never did, nor did anyone at the Mercado Famous. It smells like a scam, even though Mercado Famous seems to have good reviews - but it’s hard to tell what’s real and what’s an Indian bot farm nowadays. I therefore wanted to contribute my real review of this probably not very real company. Mercado Famous does not seem legitimate, or at the very least is poorly run. The reason why I do not recommend Mercado Famous is because when I order something online, I expect it will arrive without me having to check on it, contact customer service multiple times, or check my online bank for the transaction date. I was just trying to buy a ham and it shouldn’t be that hard.

I really wanted to like them. Love the branding. And I absolutely love cured meats. However, the first time I ordered from Mercado the Jamon Iberico was so dry, didn't feel fresh, and was not tasty. Gave them a second chance and ordered again hoping it was only a bad batch, but no :( still disappointed. The chorizo was good tho. Still prob won't repurchase.
