  • I have such mixed things to say about Larroude. On the one hand, the Ines macrame shoe is nearly spot on what I was looking for after a pair of my long-worn favorite shoes from another designer brand tapped out this year (and that style isn’t made anymore.) I haven’t worn it yet, but it feels fairly comfortable and I love the design. The feel of the sole isn’t like some of my really high quality Italian leather bottoms so the materials aren’t likely at that level. After I bought the shoes, they took 40 dollars off on the website on the shoes I bought. I emailed the customer service and they actually refunded the difference, which was kind. On the other hand, some parts of the experience leave a strange taste in my mouth. First, the shipping is slow…they are coming from Brazil. I ordered two pairs and one arrived weeks after the first pair. Second, they are really “salesy” with discounts, encouragements to buy in bulk, etc. It all starts to make you wonder how much the shoes are really worth since every other week there is some discount or something. Third, the return process, you get hit with a, “if you return these for store credit, we will actually gift you an extra $50 store credit, if you want us to pay cash, we will take $15 off as a handling fee.” It just feels cheap for $200-400 shoes and really makes you question the worth of the shoes if there are so many discounts and credits to throw around. I’m excited to wear the one pair I am keeping, but overall I would hesitate to buy from this brand again.

  • this shoe brand is more expensive than it should be. in my opinion this is closer to a dolce vita shoe than a more expensive brand in line with their price points. more importantly they market their unique design for comfort, but I find their shoes to be some of the most uncomfortable i’ve worn.
