My fiancé purchased what he thought was a custom ring from them. He went back and forth working with the team to alter mockups until it was the way he wanted. Ultimately he ended up working with them to design a ring for me he loved and thought was one of a kind. Fast forward two years and we are planning our wedding. I’m looking to make a custom band for my ring and I thought who better to help make it than the people who helped design my engagement ring. I emailed them telling them I was interested in making a custom band for my custom ring. They said that based off of my order I had their “Emma” ring. I paused because my ring was custom, my fiancé has the back and forth emails showing the design process. I looked on their website at their “Emma” ring and I’m looking at my exact ring. I email back asking for clarification and they reply saying oh actually our mistake your ring is custom and that it is different than the ring on their website. I put a picture of the rendering of my ring next fo the one listed on their website and it looks like an exact copy. I gave them multiple opportunities for them to rectify the situation but instead they try to placate me by assuring me that it definitely is different without stating exactly how. They tried to state that they were in the process of releasing the “Emma” ring before mine was in the design process but again, we have the back and forth emails of my fiancé saying what he liked about their rings and what he wanted different to create mine, so that doesn’t add up. And if that were the truth why did they keep him under the impression that this would be a custom design? He had paid money up front because he had wanted my ring to be a 1 of 1. Either way it’s scummy behavior. They took advantage and tainted a beautiful moment in our story. I wouldn’t trust any company that behaves this way to handle such a special moment. I included photos of the rendering of the ring they have my fiancé and their ring that they say is different that is listed for sale on their website.
