Reviews mention

  • Velvety, creamy texture
  • Inventive, distinctive flavors
  • High-quality, clean ingredients
  • Strong dairy-free options
  • Overly sweet for some palates
  • Inconsistent flavor intensity
  • Icy texture after refreezing
  • Rich, heavy mouthfeel

Jeni's Ice Creams wins praise in reviews for its ultra-creamy texture, inventive flavors like Brambleberry Crisp, Gooey Butter Cake, and Brown Butter Almond Brittle, and strong dairy-free/gluten-free options—so yes, the brand is good. Reviews also flag drawbacks: many find it very sweet and rich, inconsistently punchy by flavor, prone to freezer burn or iciness in pints, and expensive compared to alternatives.

  • They make flavors that I didn't even know I could like. So. Freaking. Good.

    Feedback

I wish they had more gluten free friendly flavors! I know they're a small brand, so it makes total sense that it's not a priority - but they're delicious, and I think they would be even better if they were sensitive stomach friendly.

  • Ice cream is delicious and I love the flavors but I think the pricing needs to go down, it’s way to pricey for what it is and if it was lower, I would be able to try even more flavors.

    The pricing needs improvement

  • The rainbow sherbet is my favorite! We have a store near us and the fresh ice cream is so good

  • AMAZING high quality, gourmet ice cream. In my opinion, worth the high price tag.

  • Great ice cream, a lot of fun and interesting flavors. Overall on a pricier side.

  • I don’t get the hype. I went to jennis the first time in Charleston and they don’t have fudge or mint chip. Apparently jenni hates mint chip? Anyway. That’s my favorite flavor. I didn’t think her ice cream was all that great. It was ok.

    Everything

  • I am a Columbus, OH resident so Jeni's is a staple in my diet. I love the innovative flavors and I can tell they are made with high-quality ingredients. I picked some up at Publix in South Carolina for my family to try and it was the same quality you would get in the store near my house! This is a huge thing for me so I couldn't be happier!

  • Best ice cream ever. full stop. Brambleberry Crisp is SO delish.

    Feedback

    Very expensive. $8.99!!

  • I REALLY wanted to like this ice cream after hearing all the hype around it but I found the cake bites to be VERY dry and cream portion of the ice cream to be standard. Nothing phenomenal.

    Feedback

Have better add ins that are actually enjoyable to eat instead of wanting to drain it for just the cream

  • Amazing, delicious, and innovative flavors. My favorite is gooey butter cake. The perfect summer time treat

  • Delicious ice cream. Love their flavors.

I think they could add more flavors.

  • What a great gift idea! Someone sent me a mixed box of Jeni's for my birthday last year and it was the unexpected treat I didn't know I needed. The flavors are delicious, the ice cream tastes fresh, and I love the brand vibe.

    More dairy-free flavors

  • Great stuff, great vegan options! Lots of wonderful flavors. Brick and mortar locations are fun as well.

  • Favorite ice cream brand of all time! They have the best flavors and branding.

  • Just so good. Fun flavors that taste good. Some misses, but that's the nature of food. Cute packaging too.

  • I love Jeni's but they're so hard to find near me. However I went to their store in Austin and had a fantastic experience. Their staff was very helpful and their flavors are so unique.
