Reviews mention

  • Velvety, creamy texture
  • Inventive, distinctive flavors
  • High-quality, clean ingredients
  • Strong dairy-free options
  • Overly sweet for some palates
  • Inconsistent flavor intensity
  • Icy texture after refreezing
  • Rich, heavy mouthfeel

Jeni's Ice Creams wins praise in reviews for its ultra-creamy texture, inventive flavors like Brambleberry Crisp, Gooey Butter Cake, and Brown Butter Almond Brittle, and strong dairy-free/gluten-free options—so yes, the brand is good. Reviews also flag drawbacks: many find it very sweet and rich, inconsistently punchy by flavor, prone to freezer burn or iciness in pints, and expensive compared to alternatives.

  • Absolutely love the flavor combinations and unique options

A little too sweet in some of them especially the berry cobbler one

  • I love Jeni's ice cream! I have only tried three flavors but each one is delicious to date. The flavors are good and I honestly don't get a stomach ache like some other ice creams with all their additives. I want to branch out and try more but keep repurchasing the flavors I already like instead!

  • If I’m in the mood for a unique flavor of ice cream this is always my go to

    The pints are pretty expensive

  • Yes. It's everything everyone says. So unbelievably delicious. I hate to say it's worth it, because in some places it's clocking in at like $14/pint, but it is worth it!

  • So good!! Extremely creamy and delicious flavor options. Love the seasonal options which are super unique

    Feedback

When refrozen, the ice cream can be really hard and lose some of the creamy amazing texture it has.

  • I love this brand -- both the story and the super-creative flavors. It started as a small business and has exploded. These aren't the same boring old flavors. The brand releases a ton of seasonal flavors, so there's always something new. I love Brambleberry Crisp, Salty Caramel and Brown Butter Almond Brittle. The texture, intense flavors and cool packaging are top-notch.

It's definitely a premium / luxury product and it only comes in pints (not 1/2 gallons). If you're feeding a crowd, you'll need to plan to buy a few.

  • Amazing flavors! Knocked one star off for price, but worth it for a treat once in a while. Probably better in store.

  • I’ve tried 3 flavors so far and they are all really good! There are a lot of interesting flavors and my favorite so far is the salty caramel.

  • BEST ICE CREAM EVER. It can't be beat. Everything about it is amazing. I wish I could give it 10 stars. Worth the price every time.

  • I've only ever had it at one of their locations but it is delicious! Very cool flavors!

    N/A

  • Jeni’s has so many innovative flavors that you don’t find in other brands. High quality ingredients.

  • Had these both in-store and from the grocery store, all the flavors are great.

    Nothing!

  • Jenis is some of my favorite mass market ice cream. It may average $10 a pint around me but the enjoyment I get from it is well worth it. Darkest chocolate is the best chocolate ice cream with a dry mouthfeel that’s addicting. The limited edition cream puff flavor was also incredible. Brambleberry crisp, savannah gooey butter cake, literally haven’t had a bad Jenis flavor.

  • I purchased this from my grocery store and Jeni's scoop shop and the pints live up to the scoop shop's flavors.

The vegan ice cream uses coconut milk and coconut is the only flavor your really get. They have a cinnamon roll vegan one that I wanted to be so good but it straight up tasted like coconut. Non-vegan flavors are all great though!

  • UH- does not get much better. Whether it be in store or from the carton, every flavor hits the spot (whether it sounds appealing or not).
