Reviews mention

  • Velvety, creamy texture
  • Inventive, distinctive flavors
  • High-quality, clean ingredients
  • Strong dairy-free options
  • Overly sweet for some palates
  • Inconsistent flavor intensity
  • Icy texture after refreezing
  • Rich, heavy mouthfeel

Jeni's Ice Creams wins praise in reviews for its ultra-creamy texture, inventive flavors like Brambleberry Crisp, Gooey Butter Cake, and Brown Butter Almond Brittle, and strong dairy-free/gluten-free options—so yes, the brand is good. Reviews also flag drawbacks: many find it very sweet and rich, inconsistently punchy by flavor, prone to freezer burn or iciness in pints, and expensive compared to alternatives.

  • innovative flavors and good ice cream to fruit/crisp/candy ratio

  • Best Ice cream ever!

  • Great and innovative flavors. Really tasty ice cream. Got into Jennis ice cream from some friends in the Bay Area who would ship it in. I thought that was bonkers that they’d ship ice cream in but after having their cinnamon churro flavor, I get why. This is for sure not a low calorie option but you’ll enjoy eating it :)

  • this ice cream was amazing i will be buying more

  • I love Jeni's!!!! The best store bought pint ice cream. The ingredients taste so real and taste like a good local ice cream shop. The ingredients are fresh and real. The flavors are very unique and all super tasty.

  • some of the best ice cream in the grocery store--it effectively mimics the experience of dessert out at dinner in terms of quality and unique flavors

  • I am a die hard Jeni’s fan! Yes, the price for this premium ice cream is high but if you look at the ingredients and where they’re sourced, it makes sense why. It’s all high quality and locally sourced! My favorite is the brambleberry crisp. It is literally heaven in a pint. The unique combination of Jeni’s flavors make you want to go back for more!

  • This is the best ice cream brand I have ever had. I have had almost every birthday cake ice cream this has to be the best 10/10!!!

  • I'm vegan and the dairy free ice creams are phenomenal! There's a chocolate truffle and cold brew dairy free ice cream they make that is my fav.

  • The best ice cream! Pricy but worth it. Lemon & Blueberries parfait is the best!

  • I’ve only had Jeni’s once from a retail store, but getting it at one of their stores was the best ice cream I’ve ever had! My husband and I still talk about it years later.

  • Jeni’s has a fun feel good environment when you go to their scoop shops. I am always tempted to go because my favorite flavor (rainbow buttermilk froyo) is only sold in stores. I love how they collab with brands like poptart to bring unique flavors.

  • By far my favorite ice cream brand. I haven’t tried a flavor I didn’t like, even if it didn’t sound like it would be up my alley. They explore different flavors that are normally not in ice cream, but they complement it in such a way with other flavors that it really works. My favorite flavors are Brown Butter Almond Brittle, Brambleberry Crisp, and Goat Cheese & Red Cherries!

  • I live in LA so it’s fairly easy to experience Jeni’s ice cream whether at their store or one of their retailers. I like their vegan coffee/coconut cream and pb/jelly ice creams. They have a wide assortment of flavors which is cool but sometimes I get decision fatigue. If I’m buying ice cream for the house or to bring to a party it’s usually gonna be McConnell’s tho. Jeni’s is less expensive tho so it’s more economical if you want several flavors.

  • So delicious with unique flavors. I had one nearby me and love that I can find this in grocery stores now!
