I got the Christmas countdown box of wines and wow, it is so cute. The packaging is adorable, especially the little glass bottles with the cutest little cork tops. On the other hand, this kind of packaging is probably not the most sustainable… To be honest, I didn’t love some of the wines, while others were better. It was a good way to try a variety, but I wouldn’t run out to the store to buy a full bottle of any of the wines. Overall, it is a lovely gift for the holidays and is nice to have small bottles when you don’t want to drink too much.

Every holiday season I work to find my wife a different wine advent calendar. For 2023 I discovered the In Good Taste collection, and they did not disappoint. Each bottle is 187 mL, so perfect for small pours for two people or a generous serving for one. A mix of red and white, the selection was excellent: not a single bad wine in the batch. The glass bottles with cork stoppers are also great, as many bottles this size use screw caps (not bad, but the cork makes it feel a bit more special). With over a half decade of wine advent calendar purchases under my belt, this is far and away the best selection and taste of any I have found thus far.

This company SUCKS. It auto filled the wrong shipping address and I didn’t notice when booking. Tried immediately to contact them to change it. It re-routed me to UPS who didn’t even have a shipping or tracking number yet as it was JUST placed. I emailed them 3 times. Never heard back. No way to cancel the order or change the address as dealing with UPS is also difficult as hell. There are also multiple different fees associated with making any order changes, which I read on the website as was unable to speak to an actual person at the company or through UPS. I will never order from them again. There is also no customer service phone number. Buyer beware. The amount of re-routing and bullshit and automated replies I’ve dealt with over the last 3 days is insane. Almost feels like a scam. Update: they have finally gotten back to me and cancelled and refunded my order.
