IKEA makes a variety of ready-to-assemble furniture, home accessories, and kitchen appliances.

Furniture, home accessories, design ideas and inspiration for big dreams and small budgets. A better everyday life begins at home!

IKEA earns broadly positive reviews as a reliable source for stylish, minimalist home basics that work—storage systems, glassware, lamps, desks, and bed frames often feel sturdy and design‑forward—while weaknesses include flat‑pack assembly hassles, variable furniture durability (notably couches and some wood/particle‑board pieces), and occasional quality inconsistencies like fragile glassware. Reviews also note standout pieces like HEMNES beds and versatile bookcases, plus clever repurposing (children’s stools as plant stands), but caution that some items “deflate,” break, or disappoint, making product selection key.

My bookcase isn't listed, but she is GORGEOUS, looks and feels high quality, sturdy, heavy, holds everything and more, it's the PERFECT addition I needed for my home office. I would recommend this as a cheaper option to so many high-end bookcases like this. You can't tell it's "IKEA" but I would say everything I've ever gotten from IKEA is good quality and worth it!
