  • Hullwinkle has overdelivered as a brand and as a product! From the well-thought out, beautiful (and sustainable!) packaging to the detailed craftmanship of every aspect of this pillow, Hullwinkle is simply exceptional. Even more impressive to me, is that this pillow actually works and does what it claims to do! I have never slept so well and woken up actually feeling rested in more years than I can count. The first 4 days I used the pillow, I even dreamed...also very rare for me. I was so sad when I went away for a long weekend and couldn't bring my Hullwinkle pillow with me and knew that the hotel pillows would inevitably disappoint (which they did). I can not recommend this amazing product enough and plan to share it among as many people as I can!

My only feedback would be to design a travel version of this incredible pillow so no matter where you go in the world, your Hullwinkle pillow can go too!

  • I've had neck pain for the last few years. I sit at a desk all day, and then I teach or take spin classes, so am constantly hunched over. I used to sleep with two pillows for neck support, but found I woke up stiff. I didn't think I'd love Hullwinkle honestly -- I love fluffy pillows and am not a firm mattress kind of person. But I have to say, this works. I've been sleeping on my Hullwinkle for about 3 months, and I no longer wake up with a stiff neck. I'm actually at the point where I am bummed when I travel because I can't take it with me and my sleep isn't as good. I'll have to get a one to bring in my suitcase! Also loved the touch that the card insert can be planted to grow flowers. This is a brand truly living its values!

The product is great! One thing that would be nice is if the pillow came with instructions -- like based on goal / pain area, how to adjust the pillow to fit you best.

  • I have slept on soft pillows my entire life and the pillow I used before switching to Hullwinkle was a gel pillow (extremely soft). I was not having the best night of sleep on the soft pillows and many times I'd wake up still being tired or having a sore shoulder. A friend commented that he purchased a Hullwinkle pillow and had never slept better. I said he owed me steak dinner if it didn't work when I saw the price. The first night took a bit of getting used to since the Hullwinkle is a firm pillow. However, by the 3rd night I never slept better. In spite of the pillow being firm, the hullwinkles conform to the shape of your head and it is very comfortable once you get over the shock of sleeping on a firm pillow. My wife has even commented that I no longer snore when I sleep on my back. The best analogy I can make is that it is similar to sleeping the way you have your infants sleep in a crib. Cribs have firm pads and I'm wondering if it's subconsciously making you literally "sleep like a baby" again. I do travel for work and it is tough sleeping on the road with soft pillows not that I have gotten used to my Hullwinkle pillow. I highly recommend the pillow and am happy that I found it. While $179 is not an impulse buy, looking back at the number of pillows I've purchased over the years it will end up being less expensive in the long run.

I have not found anything that could use improvement. Communication from Hullwinkle let me know when my pillow shipped and when it was going to arrive. In fact, it brought a smile to my face when I received an email apologizing that there was a delivery delay due to the weather ... we had gotten 14 inches of snow the day it was supposed to arrive.
