I've tried this candy a few times, and it does definitely have an interesting texture. It's chewy in a somewhat unnatural way to me. The taste of them is good but not amazing. I would like these more if they didn't have artificial ingredients in them.
Hi-Chew is a fun, chewy candy. The taste is difficult to describe. It is a much more subtle taste than candy such as Starburst. However, it works well for this candy. My favorite flavor is the cola flavor; however, this is harder to find. My main complaint, aside from the difficulty in finding my favorite flavor, is the lack of a healthy option.
My friends and I love Hi-Chew! They're so delicious and have a great texture. They're really fun to eat but not too high in calories so you don't end up feeling guilty. I love the strawberry and mago flavors.
