Would recommend
When I'm in a pinch with a bad travel schedule, I use HelloFresh to fill in the gaps for my husband and I. It's good and a nice luxury, but it's expensive for what it is. You're paying for convenience and sometimes that's absolutely worth it.

I’ve enjoyed many of the meals and add-on breakfasts from Hello Fresh and the price is alright. It’s not cheap, however, and I ultimately canceled my subscription after issues with getting vegetarian meals. For example, sending beef broth in a vegetarian meal and not sending Parmesan (presumably due to rennet) in a meal without discount or replacement. Maybe I’d try again in the future depending on price.

Would recommend
I used Hello Fresh consistently for two years in college, and it really helped me learn how to cook. As someone living independently for the first time, one of the best things Hello Fresh helped me with was portion control. I liked knowing that the meal was meant for two people, and that I could split it up evenly. Their packaging always stayed cold when I had it delivered while I was out. The delivery was also extremely convenient. As a college student, the company helped me by giving me food choices so that I did not have to find recipes and gave all the ingredients instead of buying an entire container of certain ingredients. My biggest issue was that they did not have the best produce. As someone who loves organic fruits and vegetables, I had times when my produce came spoiled or was not big enough for the recipe. The company was always very responsive and fixed their mistakes with a refund or credit. I sometimes had to pick up extra produce some weeks because the recipe needed more flavor or vegetables. I would definitely recommend it for new-time cooks or people who have busy schedules but are still looking to cook some nights of the week.

Would recommend
My first week was a 4/5 in that I liked most recipes. Had quality issues with produce in one of the meals. Customer service credited me for that meal. I like the variety and the recipes are very tasty. I wish they had some with low calorie instead they are very high in calories and the portions are small. I enjoy the process and cooking fresh and that everything you need is in the bag.
