Hawaiian Tropic reviews and discussion

Funnily enough, I’ve known about Hawaiian Tropic for eons, but I’d never used their products until recently. I’ve just moved to a hotter climate, so I was looking for extra sun protection, specifically for my scalp. I found their mineral protection powder and I really like it. I just dust it onto my parting before leaving the house and I’m good to go (you can see how much it's used from the rubbed off branding).

I love this body butter so much! It’s so soothing when I have a sunburn. It’s helped my skin feel less dry and calms it. It has a great scent, nothing too strong. I doesn’t leave me feeling oily either.

Hawaiian Tropic has a fantastic selection of suncare products. I love that it is cruelty-free and vegan. I also like the non-greasy feeling it leaves while still providing good sun protection. I don't tend to use tanning items, but several of my friends do and say this is an excellent brand for tanning items as well.

I think that the Hawaiian Tropic sunscreen is probably fine in comparison to other nationally available sunscreens but I don't think it is good for acne prone skin and I am concerned about the chemicals it may have in it.

I love their sunscreen and all of the products. They all work so well and smell amazing.

My Black Girl-Friendly Glow: Hawaiian Tropic Sunscreen After relocating I was torn on finding a sunscreen that wouldn’t give me a white cast or break me out. My sister recommended this Hawaiian Tropic sunscreen and it’s been my absolute favorite since. I don’t leave the house without putting it on, it gives my skin a beautiful moisturized glow. I even wear it in the winter when my skin feels dry it brings my complexion back to life very black girl friendly. This sunscreen has become my holy grail for both sun protection and hydration!

Hawaiian Tropics tanning spray and oil is the perfect combo to get that bronze tan everyone is looking for! The thing I love most about this brand, is that it also smells amazing! I’ve even gotten compliments on the scent from wearing it! (It smells like coconut and vanilla)

Have used the sheer touch ultra radiance lotion sunscreen and think it’s great. Absorbs well and doesn’t feel super greasy like some sunscreens can. Also smells great. Packaging is cute too, reminds me of the beach.

I use the Ultra Radiance 50+ and I really like this sunscreen. My only negative is that is stained my bathers slightly. Nothing a wash can't get rid of, but something to note!

I bought the Oil-free sunscreen with Weightless hydration. The good thing: the perfume is delicious, the protection it offers SPF50, it's cruelty-free, water resistant, broad spectrum UVA and UVB protection, help care for the planet by formulating free from oxybenzone and octinoxate. The bad thing: I wore it with white clothes, and it seemed to stain them with a yellowish color in small sections.
