The origins of our brand started in the early 1900s. Founder Ben Spivack comes from four generations of basketmakers, starting with his Great, Great Grandfather who manufactured wicker storage baskets out of a family-owned factory in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Ben spent his entire career immersed in the category, and discovered many problems he was passionate about solving. Some of these problems include consumers being overwhelmed when choosing between thousands of undifferentiated storage baskets, zero trusted brands in the category, and sustainability largely being treated as an afterthought. Ben started Folden Lane to solve these problems and more. At Folden Lane, our mission is to create beautiful, organized & functional spaces for homes everywhere, one basket at a time.
