I wasn’t super familiar with this brand, but I’d heard Alyssa Beltempo mention a few times on YouTube how much she loved hers. She’s all about intentional consumerism and investing in good-quality pieces that will last—and these flats are by no means cheap! I’ve owned shoes from a lot of the big “luxury” brands and have almost always ended up returning or reselling them because they were so uncomfortable. As I’ve hit middle age, I’ve decided life is simply too short to wear uncomfortable shoes! Straight out of the box, you can feel just how exquisite the materials are. The leather smells like the best-quality leather you can buy, and the fit is wonderful. You can tell they’re going to mold beautifully to your feet—and honestly, for the price, that’s exactly what you want! I plan on wearing the hell out of these. If you can swing the price tag and want to invest in one really beautiful pair of sandals, you can’t go wrong with these. They’re called the “New Laurie” because the toe ring is now leather with metal applied over the top, making it much more comfortable than the solid metal ring on the old version.
