I was able to try 2 of these for free through a rebate program. I am happy to find a cleaner alternative to cough drops. I would feel good giving these to my kids. Surprisingly they tasted really good. I would purchase on my own.

I wanted to love these so bad because finding cough drops that taste good, have clean ingredients, and actually work has been an impossible task. Unfortunately these cough drops don't work. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and tried them on a few different occasions over many months, and they haven't helped with my sore throat. The positives are that they taste like candy, they don't dry out my throat, and they have no artificial ingredients. Unfortunately that's where my praise ends because the price is very steep for one small tin of them. These probably also have who knows how much sugar in them because there is at least three different types of sugar listed in the ingredients of the ones I tried, and because this is considered a medicinal product instead of a food product they don't have to disclose exactly how much sugar is in these.

I got the SOOTHEEZ organic throat soothing drops in the (blue) birthday cake flavor from EEZ CO at Target. I really like the little blue tin you can refill when you run out. There are 14 drops in the package.

First experience with purchasing from The Eez Co. Love the cute tin and organic wholesome ingredients. It uses pectin as a demulcent (not menthol like most cough drops which sometimes dries out the throat), but when we tried using this after a cold, it didn't really seem to do much in terms of relief. Others may have different results though. Price is steep if this doesn't prove to be a better alternative.
I loved the unique flavors of cough drops that this brand offers. I thought it was as effective as my regular brand of cough drops. The watermelon mint is tasty, but not as menthol-y as other brands like riccola.

The watermelon drops don't taste artificial, and they have just the right amount of sweetness. I had not heard of pectin as a remedy for sore throat, but I think the soothing effects are similar to those of honey. I will probably enjoy these throughout the winter or when I have a light cold, but not necessarily when I have a raging sore throat. I like how these drops come in a colorful reusable tin. They could make a nice addition to a winter care package or gift basket.
