  • I recently purchased a bath mat from Cold Picnic. It’s really cute and I got it on sale (yay). I agree with another reviewer here that it took a long time to dry after a wash, but that doesn’t really bother me (bathrooms are wet…). It’s very soft, heavy - I love the design, and it did hold up in the wash. My only reason for the 4 stars is because I do think it’s a bit overhyped in a sense. These are overpriced MCM style rugs/mats with great branding. I think it looks great in my bathroom and I’d rather buy from a small/local brand rather than Amazon but I don’t fully understand the pricing. I would likely not pay full price.

  • With the caveat that we have friends who have bought a rug from Cold Picnic and love it, our experience was a bit different. We bought a large rug from them and had a great experience with their customer service as they helped us sort through what to buy vs doing something custom. The rug looked beautiful when it arrived but its aged incredibly poorly (we've had the rug for less than 6 months and these issues started happening nearly immediately) in an area of our house that does not see much traffic at all. The black section has faded and our rug has a ton of fabric pulls on it that make it look kind of ugly and beat up. We were told that shedding & pulling is normal (even after sending these photos in) and that we should trim the spots you see in the photos below, but I refuse to believe a nearly $2k rug is supposed to look like ours does after a few months of low traffic use. They refused our request for a refund and don't do exchanges, it appears, and so we're stuck with a large rug that we paid good money for that already looks like we've had it for 5-10 years. Keep that in mind if you're buying from them, I guess.

  • Love the bath mat from Cold Picnic! The only pain point for me is that it's very thick and takes a really long time to hang dry (esp in my apartment that don't get much sunlight). Otherwise I'm really happy with the design and quality!

  • Good quality rugs, fun designs. I like their bath mats too
