  • Gentle, fragrance-free formulations
  • Dermatologist-recommended reliability
  • Hydrating, barrier-supporting moisturizers
  • Effective acne-clearing cleansers
  • Occasionally heavy, filmy textures
  • Inconsistent results across skin types
  • Spf can irritate or feel oily
  • Some cleansers feel under-cleaning

CeraVe earns strong reviews as a dermatologist-recommended staple that works—especially for sensitive, dry, and acne‑prone skin—thanks to gentle, fragrance-free cleansers and moisturizers that layer well under makeup and visibly hydrate and calm irritation. Weaknesses surface around texture and feel (some creams heavy or filmy, occasional greasiness or insufficient moisture), hit‑or‑miss results for certain skin types, mixed experiences with SPF formulas and actives causing irritation, and concerns about cruelty‑free status and select ingredients.

  • I’ve been using these products for the past year & they are very EASY on my skin, I do like the face washes & the lotions. I feel clean after washing up & often use the lotion after I wash my face or shower. I’d highly recommend & they have decent prices on their products, especially on Amazon. One product has helped my daughter with her acne.

  • One of my ride or die brands, tried and tested! Have used a few things and my most favourite products are the Resurfacing Retinol Serum - a great retinol product for beginners, super effective & affordable. Frankly has changed my skin, onto my second bottle now. Also love the Skin Renewing Night cream - it is heavy in texture, but extremely hydrating, a great combination with the serum. A staple also is the Salicylic acid cleansing face wash, a great cleanser for acne prone, combination skin.

  • CeraVe’s products are such a hit or miss for me. For instance, the moisturizer in the picture I included was pretty awful and I only used on my body. But their cleansers are pretty decent, and tolerable!

  • CeraVe’s Foaming Facial Cleanser has been a go-to for my oily skin. It lathers nicely, gets rid of excess oil without over-drying, and just leaves my face feeling clean—not tight or irritated. I like that it has ingredients like ceramides and niacinamide, so it feels gentle while still being effective. I’ve tried a bunch of cleansers that either stripped my skin or didn’t do enough, but this one strikes a good balance. Nothing fancy, just reliable and solid for everyday use.

  • This isn't the prettiest or fanciest product line out there - not by a long shot - but they definitely do make a wide range of truly effective products at a very reasonable price point. They have everything from basic cleansers and moisturizers through to special lines just for specific conditions or needs - even including some truly hard-core serious moisturizers for the driest skin conditions, and they actually work. Honestly, I often even find myself just falling back on the basics, and not only because their other products are so in demand as to often be hard to find on the shelf. Hey, when you're on a budget, you get what you can that you know will do the job you're needing done to an acceptable standard without breaking the bank. And, there are few brands out there truly more reliable across the board with their products doing the job that was promised.

  • Just know your skin type and u can get the perfect cleanser and more from Cerave They are not harshly and also good for skincare starter

  • I am a huge fan of CeraVe products! I have used five of their products and constantly repurchased 4 of them. The Hydrating Facial Cleanser feels like butter going onto your skin and works so well at cleaning and preventing breakouts. I love to use the Moisturizing cream all over my body and I love that it isn't too oily. The same goes for the AM and PM creams, I love that they do not feel oily on my skin and the sunscreen doesn't leave a white cast on my brown skin. I have tried their undereye cream but I think using the normal lotion has the same effect. Overall I love the simplicity and affordability of these products and definitely recommend them.

  • I been using this face wash for so long and I have not used anything since I started buying this. It’s my go to. I like gentle it is on my skin and it doesn’t dry my skin out. I use it when I double cleanse taking off my makeup. I like that it’s affordable and I can always find it at target and / or Walmart.

  • I absolutely love Cerave products. A couple years back my skin was going through a period where I was getting really bad adult acne around my cheeks and chin area, and I was worried about trying anything for acne as my skin is very sensitive. But someone recommended adding the the Cerave Acne Foaming Cream Cleanser into my facial routine along with their Foaming Hydrating Cleanser, and those two items together really helped my skin get back to where it was before. Initially, I was using the acne cleanser, just a couple times a week just to make sure that it would not be too strong for my skin and then I was double cleansing with the foaming hydrating cleanser. But after maybe a month or two, I started using the acne cleanser every day and within less than a month the majority of my acne started to calm down, and I was not getting the breakouts like I had been. Cerave was a total game changer for my skin and I continue to use it.

  • I've been using both the CeraVe AM and PM Facial Moisturizing Lotions for a while now, and I love how they complement each other. The AM version is perfect for daily use with SPF 30, so I can moisturize and protect my skin from the sun in one step. It doesn’t leave a white cast and feels lightweight. The PM version is great for nighttime—it hydrates deeply without feeling greasy, and I wake up with soft, calm skin. Both have niacinamide and hyaluronic acid, which my skin loves, and they're fragrance-free and oil-free, which is perfect for my sensitive skin. Definitely a duo worth trying!

  • I had used CeraVe Salicylic acid Facial Cleanser and at first it worked but then it start breaking me out. And I don't like the texture of the Salicylic Moisturizing Cream, it's so thick.

  • I have used this moisturizer for years and was recommended by my dermatologist. I have combination skin and used a lot of different products that irritated my skin. This is always in my bathroom!

  • CeraVe has been a game-changer for me. Last year, I visited my doctor because of persistent itchiness on my face. She recommended the CeraVe Moisturizer, and it has made a world of difference. I love it because it's fragrance-free and gentle, making it perfect for my sensitive skin. Now, it's not just me—our whole family uses CeraVe. It become our go-to for skincare. We've all noticed how much healthier and more hydrated our skin feels. CeraVe has truly become a staple in our daily routine!

    I bought it myself.
  • I have the CERAVE cleanser, it is a super smooth amazing formula that has really cleared up my skin. I suffered with dry and pimple prone skin but it has changed my skin for the better! My skin now is way more nourished and hydrated as well as super clear. It really is worth the money and it is a great cleanser for everyday face washing to taking off makeup.

  • They offer a ton of fragrance free options for people who have fragrance sensitivities. I got all of these samples from my dermatologist. Considering I have dry and sensitive skin, a lot of their products are meant to treat that, didn’t work well for me. Their gentle face washes were too drying for my dry skin. But their moisturizer is one of the few that helped combat the eczema I often get on my hands which is why this is getting a higher rating.

  • I use this product everyday. The AM moisturizer with spf I use before my makeup. I use the PM one before bed. I feel like my skin is healthier and looks clearer since I began using it during the lockdown.

  • If you need a simple but effective lightweight moisturizer to repair and protect your skin barrier, CeraVe is the one. Just last year, I had really bad inflammation from using one of my friend's exfoliator that literally burned and ate away my skin. Not even a week after using Cerave I started seeing progress, today you won't even be able to tell how bad my skin was inflammed, so big shoutouts to CeraVe.

  • My skin is so annoying. At times my face would be oily with acne or be dry. But ever since I incorporated CeraVe into my skincare routine my skin been flawless, and I will never stop using their products.

  • I bought the cream moisturizer, day and night face cream. Overall I think it’s a good product but the night face cream is a little light weight for me because I have a dry skin and I always wake up with a dry face unless I have to use face oil.
