Carleen reviews and discussion

Creative quilt-y americana/crafty/folky sort of clothing from a small independent designer. I have purchased a few items from Carleen over the years, and some are hits, some are duds. I continue to buy from her though, as the duds are easy to resell as needed. I love the Perfect Chambray shirt -- very well made and designed with high quality fabric. I also love the sweatshirts with vintage quilt pieces sewn on before over-dyeing. Very cool look, and the sweatshirts are high quality with a good hand-feel -- pretty sure Carleen gets them wholesale from Everybody World. I did own one of the Triangle Pocket Jackets with a matching pair of canvas pants, but had to consign them. The sizing was off -- i had bought them on sale (so no return, only exchanges allowed) and I normally am a S/M in all brands, but the M was too small and when exchanged for the large, the large was also too small. These items made me wonder about the sizing overall -- I order one size up now and that seems to be the answer. I don't wear a large in any other brand, but prefer it with Carleen.
