Cards Against Humanity

4.5
91% of reviewers would recommend to a friend
Cards Against Humanity wins big in reviews for delivering uproarious, easy-to-learn party play that sparks belly laughs, quick bonding, and late-night chaos—especially with larger groups and expansion packs—so yes, it works. Reviews also flag clear drawbacks: humor can be crass/NSFW and alienating for sensitive or mixed-age crowds, cards lose shock value with repetition, and some prompts feel dated or hard to play with certain audiences.

The novelty has worn off so this can go one of two ways - either the most fun evening or a total cringefest

So fun to play with a group of friends. You can buy additional cards when you get tired of the old ones.

This game is brilliant, many a hilarious evening spent playing this game. Best played in groups 5 or more as with most things “the more the merrier”

Continues to be a great party game year after year. Definitely don't play with your family ;)

Our go-to game for both family get togethers (with the adult kids) and with friends. The laughs never stop. We have played it so many times the existing cards are a bit predictable.

Not just a fun game to have at home, but a fun game to give away as well for the right person :) You really do have to have a sense of humor and be comfortable with answering some uncomfortable questions in front of the other people at the table - but all in all it will give everyone a ton of laughs. I would not recommend playing this before the kids all go to bed, but as a later-in-the-evening party game, it is great. They do also make a game for tweens called Not Parent Approved that is a cleaner version for tweens/teens and even Exploding Kittens for the youngest crowd - we have all three and they are always in rotation on our board-game shelf.

Fantastic Adult 18+ card game, especially for those with similar humor. This game does contain a large amount of dark humor and could create some triggering hypothetical scenarios for some people, which only makes the experience funnier. You only need 3 people to play, but the more you can convince to play, the better. There are expansion boxes and small expansion packs you can get as an addition to the base set of cards. Expansions like the Nerd pack, the science pack, the pride pack, and extra blank cards to write your own questions and answers. Which in my experience has made the game more fun and gives a much lower chance of pulling repeat cards. 10/10 would recommend for anyone who isn't easily offended and can think outside the box.

A classic easy card game that every household should have. It’s a lot of fun to play with family or friends. There’s also a dirty, R rated version if you really want to have some EXTRA fun!

great card game—definitely recommend playing with your 93 year old, Latina grandmother.

I came across this game because I was in a room where other people were already playing it. It was so funny that I stayed just to listen. I have played it several times since then. One thing I noticed was that some adults had trouble pronouncing some of the words if they weren’t highly educated which was awkward. Also it is an adult game with racy topics, one would not play this with co-workers after work haha. Always hysterical and a good way to get to know your buddies perspectives.

Have played this game a dozen times. Always recommend if you're an adult. Great to play at parties.

Great game! Fun but definitely for a more open-‘minded and adventurous crowd. This game always makes the night more amusing!

It's a fun game, Definitely gets old quickly playing but a good ice breaker. Find myself using it less and less. Good memories come from it even if it doesn't last long.

We play this every year at holiday times when everyone is in town. First of all, if you can get a wide range of ages to participate it is so much more fun. Secondly, it helps if everyone playing has a higher-than-average intelligence so the historical references aren't lost on the dumber ones. Finally, you might not want children (even grown children) playing if you are uncomfortable with sexual references in front of them. Great for parties!

We have the cards against humanity and kids against humanity decks. Either deck results in lots of laughs and a lot of competitiveness within the family. I plan on packing kids against humanity for an upcoming family trip to play in our downtime. Absolutely love the product and their ingenuity and wicked sense of humor.

We played the family version of Cards Against Humanity after Thanksgiving dinner and I can honestly say I haven't laughed so hard in a long time. Our group of ten ranged in agre from 12 to 74 and everyone everyone had a blast. The next day we went and bought our own box. Plans are to take it with us everywhere there is a group of more than four who need to bond over laughter.
