I have had this for years. They hook you with free bacon for life with each continued subscription. We always look forward to see whatโs in the box. Great quality, clean meat that is way better for you than what you would get at the store!!!

The beef quality is good, but the chicken was disappointing. My package arrived damaged, but their customer service was responsive and helpful. Overall, it remains on the pricey side for what you get.
I had a ButcherBox subscription for years and always loved the quality of the meat and service. The meat really is far superior to what you can find in any big box grocer. The last few boxes I received had major defrosting issues. I moved to an area that was not serviced, so I had to cancel, but if it were not for that, I would still be a subscriber if the freezing issues were resolved.

I signed up for Butcher Box after seeing several advertisements and went for it when they were offering free ground beef for life (it looks like they're currently offering free chicken thighs for a year). Managing your subscription is super straightforward and easy. You can modify your billing/ship dates easily and they send email reminders when your billing date is approaching.
Feedback
The selection across different protein types/cuts and quality of meat is great. Notifications are timely and boxes come well-packed. One slight issue that I've had in a couple of instances is the seal is not 100% so there is liquid leaking out during defrosting, but the meat is always fine (and easily remedied by defrosting in a dish). This also helps me make things that I might not normally make especially with larger cuts of meat and helps with meal prep/batch cooking.
My family received this as a gift from a loved one. The box came with a variety of cuts of steaks, as well as some ground meat and bacon.

All the meats, especially the steaks tasted high-quality, better than what I'd normally purchase at the grocery store. The premium cuts were a real treat!

I'm not much of a meat eater but my partner started getting this and I have slowly started eating more due to Butcher Box. It's cost-effective, there's a good selection of meats to choose from, and skipping a shipment is easy.

Would love for beef to come from the US in this box (last I checked a lot of it is from Australia).
Started a Butcher Box subscription just a few months after the first 2020 lockdown, after finally getting off the waitlist (1 month). I really like the flexibility of the custom box, where I can pick and choose what I want. The packaging is what impressed me immediately. Box arrived more compact than expected and everything inside remained frozen. Nothing was damaged or broken. This was the case for the first 3 or 4 orders. Nearly all of the proteins met or exceeded my expectations. High-quality, well-packed, and delicious. Most favorite: pork shoulder. Least favorite: chicken breast. The bonus packs of bacon were also nice! The biggest challenge was making sure that I had enough freezer space to hold everything. I don't feel like Butcher Box replaces my trips to my neighborhood butcher for premium meat and specialty products, but it does give me the option of buying higher-quality beef, chicken, pork than what I can find at my usual grocery store for a reasonable markup.

This company is an extortion and a scam- DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CREDIT CARD INFORMATION OR USE THIS COMPANY- they charged me $180 for a one time gift that they said would be here by Christmas if I ordered by 12/19, which I did. Now i don't even care about it coming on time (Today is 12/26 and it hasn't even been put together or shipped yet apparently- according to Butcher Box customer service team) and they won't do a refund, which is totally fine, my main concern now that it was late, was to at least just know for sure that I do have this product coming to me that I have already been charged for- well they provide ZERO tracking information and their customer service team, when given my name, email address, phone number AND the order # THEY provided to ME- could not find my order and gave me no information before ending the LIVE chat with me and so basically now I've been charged $180 for a non existent product- this company is a SCAM- DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR INFORMATION. I will make sure everyone knows not to use this company- I have never written a review like this in my entire life and I am someone who will be fine down $180, but there are others who I'm afraid would pay $180 and then be left sitting there wondering for DAYS if the money they just spent was even going to be used properly- I feel bad or anyone who tries to use this company. NEVER AGAIN. Worst customer service experience I've ever had in my entire life.

Very terrible company/a complete scam/extortion- do not give them any of your credit card information- they will charge your card and never deliver the actual product or provide you with any tracking information or ability to find it yourself.
