  • The whole process was painful and dreadful. We bought the Nomad velvet performance sofa in 2021, right after my husband and I moved into our new apartment. Mind you, we didn’t have any furniture! We spent a lot of time looking at sofas and we wanted a nice one to invest in. We came across Burrow because they were heavily advertised on Instagram. Though it was expensive (with tax it came to around $1900), we were certain that we made the right decision. Well, we were wrong. The shipping took months. They kept delaying it but then they weren’t communicating the estimated arrival time. It was impossible to get in touch with customer service and they weren’t responsive. When we finally got it, we were so excited. After sitting on the sofa and using it for some time, we soon realized that this was not a comfortable sofa to lounge in and watch movies. The cushions sink in quickly and don’t retain their shapes. There’s a part of the armrest where it looks like a moth ate it. The seats are too low and doesn’t provide back support. Overall, this is a very expensive and overrated sofa. I wish I could’ve written a review but there wasn’t an option to, which is shady. They seem to control the amount of negative reviews. I don’t recommend this to anyone in any way and would advise you to spend your hard earned money somewhere else.

Better quality fabrics and cushion. Better engineered for back support and more sturdy. Better communication and better customer service.

  • The sofa is comfortable, but it stains from water. When you call customer service about the matter, they offer no solutions. I would not buy again. Water leaves marks that cannot be fixed. It was a waste of money.

  • Half a step up from IKEA for double the price. It wasn’t easy to line up all the screws, since everything looks the same but some pieces are just different enough to not fit. The instructions are written in a 6pt light gray font, which feels like it wasn’t created for humans. I wouldn’t wish this on a friend.

  • We've had a burrow couch and leather chair for over two years and love it, we are 100% burrow lifers. I plan to keep this leather chair for the next 20+ years

    nothing, super amazing brand!

  • Overall no regrets and a great value for the money. I wanted something modular and could grow with me when I was moving to a new space and wasn’t sure exactly what I could fit and this let me do that. Love the color and layout, height and texture. The modular design and gap off the ground makes it super easy to keep clean while the velcro holds the seats nicely in place for lounging. I love that the cushions come fully off as well and is super comfortable as a bed even without the bed kit.

    - It is a very firm couch for sure which doesn’t bother me but at times do wish it could be more plush - back cushions can be a bit top heavy or weird and fall over at times until I put them on the floor and stand on them to flatten them out - **** Biggest thing for me is that I wish it was deeper, I often find myself taking off the back cushions entirely for that super deep couch feeling *** - Wish this one had some sort of cable management underneath or built in charging like the other models advertised. I have to duct tape cables to the underside so they don’t show under the couch. - Shipping all the boxes came pretty damaged and the hardware came three days after the cushions and for a bit I was worried that I was missing parts bc it was not clean on any of the packaging where to go from there.

  • Absolutely love my Burrow couch. Looks great in the home, super easy to put together, and comfortable. The charger is a great bonus too.

  • The ordering process was smooth, however the instructions were not clear on how to assemble. They opted for simplicity over intuitive instructions. The overall quality was not worth the $1000 price tag. Also avoid if you are tall, these couches are short.

    Material quality and design.

  • Burrow makes some really innovative designed furniture. Their couches are the main attraction for sure (USB charger built-in and stain resistant!) but I'm glad they've also incorporated other furniture pieces as they've grown as a company. Their couches are We own their index wall shelf which was super easy to assemble with the template they provided. I was happily surprised with their packaging and how the product was shipped. We also own their Totem Bench which not only looks great but also doubles up for a lot of storage (which helps when you have kids and stuff constantly lying around) while still being minimalistic.

  • Home improvement was on the forefront of everyones minds in 2020, you know, after fearing for our lives re: pandemic. Like many people, first on my list was purchasing a new sofa, aka where I would spend most of the following year. TLDR; Burrow is an upgraded IKEA that I would recommend to anyone currently under the age of 29 with plans to move several times in the near future. Unfortunately for this 35 year old who has lived in my current apartment for 11 years and is an and out of physical therapy more than I am dating apps (married for 4 years), Burrow was a disaster. Positives—super quick and easy ordering process, incredible customer service (and I was sort of a lot to deal with), and well made FABRIC with a nice hand (feel when you touch it) and easy to work with any interior design choices. I cannot stress enough how responsive and amazing customer service was with our situation though. Negatives—it's basically a crapshoot if the modular pieces actually fit together. We went through 7 pieces total before we found 3 that sort of worked well together. 7 HUGE boxes delivered to my 3 floor walk up apartment. Not only are the boxes huge, you can only ship the pieces back in the boxes they were sent in. After 4 weeks of back and forth and multiple new pieces sent we ended up with a sofa that doesn't actually fit together perfectly (one part sits an inch higher) and it creaks when my 24 pound dog walks across it. Could our situation have been a fluke? Yes. Did we get the quality we paid for, absolutely. If you're looking for a forever sofa, this is not it.

I'd recommend that Burrow take the extra step to ensure that the modular pieces they are sending (atleast for the first item you order) fit together correctly. It takes about 15 minutes to put the furniture together which could possibly save the company a lot of money in shipping if they did it ahead of time at the warehouse.
