The unboxing was very impressive and made the experience feel very cool and special. I appreciated the instructions too since I would normally *never* toast a bagel but in this instance it did elevate the texture of the bagel. If I closed my eyes and someone gave me this bagel I would think it was a normal bagel. It's spongy and has a good flavor even without the cream cheese. Overall it's very tasty. If you go looking for differences between this bagel and another bagel, however, you will find them. People say the texture is a bit bready and I get that but I don't think it harms the overall experience of the bagel. If you really focus in on the flavor it tastes a bit protein-y too and is maybe a bit chewier than other bagels. But since it's supposed to be healthier that's not a big deal for me.
Feedback
I don't really have too many qualms with the flavor but I think the bagels could look a bit more like a bagel, they are round but some lack the central holes. My main feedback is that in the future streamlining how they're shipped would be ideal. If this was something I ordered regularly I wouldn't need a grand unboxing and would probably want the bagels shipped in a tube of shorts versus a pouch. I'd love more formats of this technology in various bread products in the future!
