The texture is thick and creamy but still smooth. It doesn’t feel greasy or heavy at all. When I apply it, it glides on super soft and instantly makes my skin feel plush and velvety. When putting it on, after a couple of seconds, I do feel this subtle tightening effect, especially on my forehead and around my smile lines. It’s not harsh or uncomfortable, more like a gentle lift that makes my skin feel more awake and firm. It kind of gives me that I just had a facial feeling, but at home. My skin soaks it up nicely and feels super hydrated without looking oily. It leaves this soft-blur finish that makes my skin feel smooth to the touch. I love how makeup sits on top of it too, like I don’t even need a primer because my skin already feels prepped. It doesn’t clog my pores or break me out, which is always a big deal for me. The only thing is that it’s a little pricey, and the jar isn’t huge, but a little goes a long way.
