Let’s start from the beginning, the frozen aisle section of Publix. What drew me to the brand was the packaging, It’s beautiful! Once I stared a little longer, I realize that this was a healthy frozen meal and although it is on the little expensive side, at $4.65 a box, I was still excited to try it. I mean, everything is expensive anyways, so why not pay for a meal that looks nutritious and delicious. As I started to eat after defrosting the meal I really did feel like I transported myself to the beautiful country of Syria, where, according to the box the recipes were created in. The dish was all things, sweet and savory. I added Sriracha sauce which really elevated the dish! Everything was well seasoned and cooked to perfection. The roasted pumpkin seeds added a nice crunchy texture in the little bite surprises that I took. I think there was a nice mix of everything in there as well. The falafel‘s weren’t too dry as when it comes to frozen foods you have to be really careful with items like falafel as they can really dry up in the heating up process in the microwave. I think the next time I will heat this dish up on the stove so the falafel can not dry out as much but I thoroughly enjoyed this dish and will definitely try more of their products! And a bonus for the reusable packaging I am using it to house some seeds that I am germinating!

The Afia Roasted Peppers & Tomato Falafel Meal is so delicious. It's crazy to think that there's no meat in there , it packs a big punch in terms of taste! It's very fulfilling and even more tasty coupled with hummus, harissa honey chicken, or tzatziki sauce. Falafel is easy to mess up but this one has a perfect balance. In terms of the taste not too salty and the texture not too crumbly.

I have tried the falafel as well as the bowl. I like the bowl much better, because not only is the aroma amazing, the texture and taste is wonderful. Appreciated the directions on their website and I crumble the falafel in the bowl, which added great flavor and texture. Each ingredient had a distinct aroma and that really added depth to deliciousness. The one thing I'd change is lower the sodium and calories packed in one meal. The bowl may not be in all retailers, especially particular flavors.

This tastes delicious and was so easy to prepare! Price wasn't horrible especially considering I haven't seen many similar options within this specific cuisine. This was flavor-packed and full of iron and fiber, which was great.
The Afia falafels are an amazing staple in my household. My parents first introduced them to me, as they use them in a pinch if they don't want to make falafel from scratch. That's high praise from a Lebanese fam! Since then, my husband has become obsessed and buys them directly from their website in high quantities and we just keep in the freezer. He eats them almost every day in his lunch and loves the different flavors. I love that they are clean / minimally-processed but taste delicious and are convenient!

I wish they were available in more retail!
