Ace of Air is a personal care brand offering supplements made with sustainably sourced, fair-trade ingredients, and formulations that are third-party tested and EWG-verified. Ace of Air’s key differentiator is its mission to reduce ocean-bound and landfill-bound plastic waste from the personal care category through its reusable packaging that contains zero plastic. Its second key differentiator is each supplement’s focus on a hero ingredient that is science backed and sourced globally. 
 
The Need to Create a More Sustainable Personal Care Brand
 
Packaging materials are the largest contributor to plastic waste, accounting for nearly half of the waste generated globally. Every year, the beauty industry produces more than 120 billion units of plastic packaging, with less than 9% being properly recycled. There will be more plastic in our oceans than fish by 2050 – 937 million metric tons of plastic compared to 895 million metric tons of fish. Ace of Air is paving the way to change how we think about our bottles and jars - giving us a refillable solution to prevent the landfill and ocean waste that’s typically associated with plastic supplement bottles.

The Eco-Friendly & User-Friendly Customer Experience

Customers receive their first month’s supply of their selected supplement in a reusable, stainless steel jar with a seal made of fair-trade rubber. When they’re ready for a refill, their second order will be delivered in a pouch that’s 100% home compostable – then they simply add the supplements to the jar. Shipping is carbon-neutral, and the jars and pouches arrive in recycled paper mailers that can go right into newspaper recycling bins.

Founding Story
      
The idea for the brand came from supermodel Petra Nemcova, who grew up in former Czechoslovakia with a reverence for the effectiveness of traditional medicine. Her great-grandfather was the highly-respected town herbalist, where he treated neighbors with local ingredients found in the surrounding hills. As an adult she grew frustrated that most brands combined their leading ingredients with synthetic fillers, and that their packaging was damaging the environment that these ingredients came from. She then began her global search for a nutritionist and pharmacist who could blend the right ingredients to create the most potent supplements on the market. Ace of Air provides a modern twist, focusing on time-tested hero ingredients that in many cases have been clinically studied for their effectiveness as well.

Ace of Air offers seven core products developed by registered pharmacists David Restrepo and Elina K. Restrepo, who are trusted resources among the leading physicians in the country. Each ingredient in Ace of Air’s collection has been third-party tested for purity, and the formulations are EWG Verified.  Ace of Air’s hero product is Happy Gut Pre-Pro-Postbiotic, which is one of the original 3-in-1 pre-pro-postbiotics to hit the market. 10 Probiotic strains promote balance between the immune and digestive system for unrivaled gut support, with a postbiotic that helps nourish healthy flora while boosting immunity against unhealthy flora. The capsule is designed to release the strains in the most beneficial order to avoid degradation by stomach acids.
