I’ve been a long-time buyer of 19-69 Capri. I first discovered the scent years ago in Denmark and consistently purchased it while traveling overseas. It was one of my signature fragrances. Recently, I ordered bottles in the U.S., and the scent is clearly different. The formulation has changed. I provided batch numbers to demonstrate the difference between my older bottles and the newer ones. When I first contacted the company, they emphasized that they’re a small brand and would do everything they could to remedy the situation. Unfortunately, that quickly turned into a runaround — repeated emails, circular responses, and shifting explanations. Instead of addressing the issue directly, they eventually suggested I send in the new batch so they could compare it to the old one. That makes little sense, considering they control the formulation and would know if changes were made. For anyone who truly understands fragrance, the difference is obvious. The new batch smells different and lacks the depth and longevity of the original. This isn’t subtle — it’s noticeable. After purchasing five bottles over Christmas, I’m now stuck with product that doesn’t match what I originally loved. What’s most disappointing isn’t just the change in scent — it’s the way it was handled. After multiple attempts to resolve it, they’ve now stopped responding altogether. If you loved the original Capri scent, be cautious with recent batches. This experience has unfortunately ended my loyalty to the brand.
